Family Ties

In the middle of the night Belle wakes up. Suddenly she hears a noise inside the house. She goes to the top of the stairs to see if it was Jenna or Jeremy making noise.

"Hello?" From the top of the stairs she looks down to see if she sees anyone. "Jeremy?" After calling for her brother to see if it's him in the living room she sees a shadow. She goes downstairs and goes into the living room to see why her brother does not respond to her. "Hello?" She tries to turn on the room light but this strangely is not working. Suddenly the television turns on and she sees that she is passing the news.

"This is Logan Fell coming to you live from the streets of Mystic Falls with breaking news of another deadly animal attack. The wild animal terrorizing the citizens of Mystic Falls has claimed another victim, local high school student Annabelle Gilbert." She sees her picture appear on television as if she were another victim of the attacks that have been going on in the city and is starting to get scared. "Police are certain that forensic evidence will confirm that this is the same animal responsible for recent attacks."

"You know what it's coming next." She hears a voice speaking behind her. When she looks she sees it is Damon. Scared she runs to the door to ask for help but when she opens the door Damon is outside. Scared she screams and closes the door. When she goes to try to escape again she sees that Damon is in the house. Not knowing what to do and scared she takes her hand to her head. Suddenly she looks back and Damon disappears. She gets up and tries to see where he is when he suddenly appears behind and bites her neck while she screams.

"Ah!" Screams Stefan. He sits down on the bed breathing heavily as he realizes that everything was just a horrible nightmare. When he looks see Damon sitting on his desk, he realizes that he had that nightmare of Belle because Damon gone into his head.

"Bad dream?" Asks Damon to his brother. "Ah. Do you know how easy it was to get into your head just now? You really need some human blood. It might even the playing field." Jokes Damon. Finding no joke what Damon says, Stefan gets up from bed still shaken by the nightmare that his brother created in his head. Stefan does not understand what his brother wants and just wanted Damon to leave him alone. On the other hand he feels sad because he wanted to have a better relationship with Damon, he wanted his brother to change himself and that he would show that there are still feelings inside him. "Football reference. Too soon." Continues Damon. Suddenly Stefan vamps speed and throws a knife towards Damon hitting him in the chest but not in the heart. It's that despite everything bad that Damon has done Stefan cannot kill his own brother. "All right, I deserved that." Says Damon with annoyance. "But I just wanted to let you know, they caught the culprit. The animal responsible for killing Coach Tanner and all those people." Explains Damon to Stefan. Stefan looks to Damon in disbelief.

"What are you talking about?" Ask Stefan because he doesn't understand what Damon is talking about.

"It was a mountain lion. Really big one. It attacked a hunter this morning. It's all over the news." Then in a mocking way he imitates the journalist: ""Deadly beast captured. All's well in Mystic Falls.""

"Why would you cover your tracks?" Asks Stefan not understanding why Damon would do such a thing. Damon must want something to cover his tracks.

"I've decided to stay a while. I'm just having way too much fun here with you and Belle." Reply Damon with a smirk.

"Can't touch her now." Tells him Stefan. Damon smirk only grew.

"Well, the vervain keeps me out of her head. Maybe that's not my target. Believe it or not, Stefan, some girls don't need my persuasion. Some girls just can't resist my good looks, my style and my charm and my unflinching ability to listen to Taylor Swift." Damon goes on to tell Stefan. He wants his brother to know that he's going to get in the middle of the relationship that Stefan and Belle have. He wants Stefan to know that he will do everything to separate them and to fulfil the promise that made him, the promise to make the rest of his life miserable. He then stuck the same knife Stefan threw at him in Stefan's stomach. Stefan for not having the same diet as his brother feels more pain. "This is John Varvatos, dude. Dick move." In a mocking way Damon basically tells Stefan that he stabbed him because Stefan ruined his t-shirt. As Stefan tries to take the knife from his stomach Damon leaves his brother's room. Stefan gets angrier with Damon.
