Chapter - 5 : Night on the train

LIAM'S POV :

Before Boarding :-

'I'm done with the packing', Shane announced standing near the luggage.
'Good, cab will be anytime here now ', I said.

Checking everything twice Evan asked ,"everything that we need is packed, do we need to pack more?"

Shane and I laughed, "bro , we're out just for 21days , ghar basane nahi jaa rhe! (we're not going to get settled there!!) .

Shane and I share a special bond since the school days, he's much like my brother. Shane was 5'6 , he had a masculine body and was famous amongst the girls because of his charm , on the other hand Evan was 5'9  and a great foodie his field of interest have always been politics something I've no interest in  

On train :-

We were on time and soon got settled at our place. Shane was having his jolly time staring at a group of girls who probably were boarding the same train.
Evan was active on twitter . And I like usual was looking around .

Soon I saw someone standing at the end of a queue near the entrance . I can see things falling from her hand, she was filled with clumsiness and the only person she reminded me was of -

"Ash!! " Shane murmured the name looking at me.

For a minute I was astonished 'was I thinking loud enough for him to hear? ' I said to myself but when I looked at Shane he was staring the very same girl I just had a glimpse of and to my surprise she was Ashley.....

The girl I had my heart with. My eyes were stucked at her, she was looking more beautiful than before but soon I realized that she was looking at me too, I don't know for how long we had an eye contact.

The moment people came between our path of eye contact, I changed my place instantly with Evan .... I didn't want to face everything once again, after 6 fucking long years of trying to forget her  ... Seeing her at once pushed me back to the place from where I started.

" It's been 6years and you've changed a lot both from inside and from outside too. You've done a major transformation in your appearance, we're damn sure she couldn't have recognized you even in her dreams " , Shane and Evan said .

I looked at them and smiled as if nothing was wrong but deep down I knew I was scattered the freaking moment I saw her .

I decided to see her again, after all it has been ages since I last saw her properly.
As soon as the train started , to get a glimpse of her I started moving ahead in the passage when Frankie called my name, he was sitting with a group of girls having his fun time being surrounded by girls.

'Shit!! Ash is here ' I mumbled , she saw me and after a minute left the place, as she was walking away , my eyes were set on her, she left her hair loose and I can swear on this that moment she looked next level gorgeous, she turned around and saw me. That was the moment when I moved my eyes away in the direction of Frankie who was talking to me.

"Sorry, I didn't hear you. ", I said.

" Because your focus was on someone ", Frankie said.

" There's nothing like that, say what were you saying? " I laughed to counter him.

"I was asking you to tell Evan and Shane to join our group, we are having so much fun here ", he winked.

I smiled and went away to convey the same message to Evan and Shane.
After conveying it , I moved ahead towards the gate to feel the fresh air and I saw ASH!! ' Is she after me or am I after her? ' , I wondered .

I couldn't resist myself and stood behind her, I could smell the fragrance of her hair that was flattering on my face.

I closed my eyes to feel her even more.... And out of everything she turned around only to crash into my chest. Well, not gonna lie I enjoyed her touch on my chest but.......
I could see tears filled in her eyes. All my anger turned into guilt when I saw tears rolling down her cheeks , 
How are you? ", I said , as she picked up her phone that was lying on the floor a minute ago.

" Yeah, I'm good, how are you? " She replied with a smile that was forceful one though.

"Great and happy ", I said looking directly into her eyes, I knew she was melting and I cannot let this happen. It's over!!!
 And the things that are over can't be back. I wasn't happy , I can never be , she was happiness and she was pain , I have had no option but to act strong , I've to mask my feelings for us . 

Is there even an 'us' ? 

She after a minute of looking into my eyes rolled her eyes away .

" I need to go , Anna and Bailey must be waiting " She said and went away. I saw are leaving.

"Damn!!!", I punched the gate , " I cannot melt for her, She had lied to me , she's not my girl. "

 I went back to my place only to find someone sleeping at my seat.

It's her again!! I'm sure she's again after me , doesn't she have a self respect?

I couldn't say anything because she was asleep, the only thing I could do was to look at her. And she looked like a panda while sleeping. I laughed at my thought .

Evan and Shane were sleeping with Frankie and group so I could peacefully look at her and not to deny it was the best moment on train, watch her sleeping.

The whole night I did 2 things :-
1) stare at her, she looked innocent while sleeping.
2) put her pillow and blanket back at the place, which she after every half an hour was throwing away.

It was 5 in the morning when her friends (Anna and Bailey) came to wake her up ,maybe because the last destination was 1 hour ahead and they've to pack their stuffs back.

They saw me watching Ash and might have thought I was checking her out as half her waist was visible . One of them  quickly covered her and tried to woke her up .

The only thing running in my mind at that time was ' who the fuck sleeps like this ' , I was about to leave my seat for them to comfortably wake her up when I saw a book on the floor with my name scribbled on it with a black pen , I was about to read further when Bailey saw me ad quickly picked it up.
 Now I switched the plan of leaving because I wanted to know the name of the book so I can guess what might Ash have written about me in it .

The next thing I saw was Ash staring at me with her eyes wide open. I looked at her in confusion , she quickly double blinked her eyes and looked back at Anna and bailey , they gave her a straight face look , so did I.

Ash without wasting anymore second stood up ,collected her stuffs and the moment she was about to leave she tripped on the floor .

Anna and Bailey helped her in collecting everything back ,by now they were laughing ( they must have been controlling their laugh ) even I couldn't deny the fact that Ash was looking hilarious as fuck.

Shane and Evans were on their seat laughing and watching me "what?" I said smiling .
" epic !", Shane replied . 

I started scrolling my phone in order to avoid any more conversation .
" Do you think he still loves her ", Evans said I could hear them but I pretended to be engaged on my phone.

" I don't think so , after all that I don't think he'll ever love her ", Shane hissed loud enough for me to hear.
