Chapter - 8 : Everything goes well

Ash's POV :-

5:30PM

" You attended it on your own? " Anna asked " When did you plan it? "

"Yes! I did " I smiled " We'll be having a presentation tonight and anyhow I need to convince them. "

" That's not a big deal, we believe in you " Bailey continued " So this was your important assignment for which you were working late nights? "

" Yes! " , I blushed, it seems too good to be appreciated for your hard work and at this point controlling my blush was out of my control.

Bailey laughed at seeing me blushing and gave me a warm hug, " Baby you're grown up now, I feel so happy to see you rising from a baby girl to a lady boss, our Ash is a grown up princess ".
" Queen! " Anna corrected and smiled at me feeling proud.

" I'm still incomplete without you girls ", I got emotional and waited a few beats before continuing " Anna will you please help me with the documents everything's ready, it just need an overview and your conformation " , Handling a list to Bailey I continued, "And Bailey can you please dial the number on this list and get me a few gifts for elderly people and kids, you can take your time but please do it before this week " .
" I'll do it today itself, just finalise the gifts I select " Bailey said scrolling her phone to see the gifts she can choose and get an idea out of it.
" I trust you and your work,get whatever you like but it shouldn't cross the budget, you'll find the cash in my purse that's in the wadrobe, when you open it you'll find different envelopes with labels in it, the one for gifts has a label of ' greetings' . " I said opening my laptop for Anna to work on it.
" Anything to keep you active ,girls ? " I said while looking out of the window. The sun was settling-in in the orange-pink bed of the sky, it looked soothing and the birds chirping were enhancing the beauty to a level that moving eyes away in another direction was seeming to be impossible.
I quickly took my phone out from my right pocket and captured the alluring beauty. Half of my phone's gallery is filled with the pictures of the sky and the other half has got pictures of dogs, food and trees.
" Two cups of tea and any thing for snacks would do ", breaking my thoughts Bailey said.
" Yes boss! ", moving towards the telecom I replied.

" Okay! ", I'll pick it up I said and placed back the telephone on its stand.
The staffs are busy with the stuffs the boys group who arrived today asked them to do, it'll take them half an hour to get our food.
" What the hell ? " , Bailey said in anger .
" Don't worry, they requested me to get down and take up the tray myself , they were apologotic for the inconvenience ", I said , " I'll be back in a minute. "
I closed the door behind me and took the stairs as the lift was on the ground floor and the tea might get cold.
Bad idea! I thought as soon as I reached the ground floor.
After having a warm conversation with the manager , I picked up the tray and paved by way back to the room. This time somehow I was prepared to encounter Liam again but fortunately he was no where around me, neither he nor his friends. I was cautious way more than needed , even on reaching the room I turned back to look around the collidor and see if he was there or not. Maybe somewhere deep down I wanted to get a glitch of him once more but I didn't know his floor either , he might be anywhere between 7th to 12th floor and our last meeting could've been a last one, nevertheless I entered the room and saw my girls working sincerely.
I grabbed a packet of chips and started reading articles on quora.

At around 7 there was a knock on the door. " I'll see! " Anna said stopping me from getting off the bed.
There was no one but an invitation card on the door .
" Hey, there's an invitation card " Anna exclaimed closing the door " It's a get together tonight, a masquerade party ".
" Woah!! That will be so fun ", Bailey took a pause and sighed , " But tonight there was a presentation, right? ".
" I'll handle that and since I've been working on it, I know the stuffs pretty well ", I said giving a look at the corrections and amendments Anna made.
" Don't be crazy, we can't leave you ", Bailey stated.
" I'll join you after the presentation, I'll try to wrap everything within an hour " , I said holding her hands.
It took me more than half an hour to convince Bailey to leave before me for the party.
" As you say ", Bailey said a bit disappointed.
Hugging her I replied, " It's okay, don't be upset, I'll be on time and we'll have a bash ".
Bailey ignored me making me realize she was upset about it but all in return I could do was order her her favorite sacks to uplift her mood .
But after making a call to order it I got to know that her favorite snacks wasn't available in the hotel and the least I could do was smile and make her feel food.
It was quarter past 9 and everyone was getting ready.

Bailey looked stunning in her red velvet dress with frills along with black gloves She paired it with black earings and pencil heels. Red lipstick and winked eyeliner completed her look. Her hair was left down her shoulders.

Anna wore a black off shoulder gown with a heart pendent that was perfectly dropped down her neck. Following the YouTube instructions she did her eye shadow work perfectly  and had worn a matte red lipstick . She tied her hair in a messy braid and completed her look with pencil heels .

" The air's getting hot, I can't take my eyes off you two ", I said spellbound by their look.
Both Anna and Bailey started laughing on seeing me hyping them.
" Be on time . " Anna said hugging me.
" I know you'll do it on your own but remember that we're with you and just a call away " Bailey said and bid adieu.
I locked the door and headed towards my wadrobe , changing clothes two times, one for the presentation and one for the party wasn't the right idea for a lazy person so I picked up my dress and a blazer and did my no-makeup makeup look that would go perfectly with both the venues.
I quickly wore the gown and opened it from the top to have it dropped around my waist. I wore a top and the blazer and did my hair in a bun.
After the meeting all I had to do was throw the blazer and top away and pull up my gown. I hadn't worn a lip color , I will do it with my hair after getting over with the hair do.

The meeting began exactly at 10 and was successfully finished at 10:45 . Everyone seemed impressed and I was quite satisfied with it. I got a call soon after the meeting from John and he too appreciated the presentation. I pated myself for using my brain instead of panicking.

I was wearing a dark blue one side off gown with white earings and white heels. My look was simple yet classy and personally I loved my look.

I was at the entrance of the venue at 11 PM . The music of loud enough for me to hear it even from outside.
At the entrance there was a table with masks of different color. I picked up a silver one and wore it.
Before entering I texted Anna and Bailey and got a quick reply that they were together at the drink counter , after entering I paved my way to them and told them about the successful conduction of the presentation. We three gave each other a high-five. And tossed a shot of cold drink.
