" senior Daniel" a junior student from JSS1 called out to his senior. He hates calling his senior, senior. If anybody is ahead of you with any class, you must call them senior. Since he is in JSS1, he calls everyone in the school senior except his classmates.
"What?" Daniel asked he was angry the junior interrupted him while he was singing his favorite song
"Senior rosemary said I should call you" he answered. He was more worried Daniel will send him on another errand, it was a normal thing in this school. No one cared if you are tired or too small to be sent on an errand. Don't give me excuses and just deliver the message, hostel rules
"Where is she?"
"SS2 A"
"Okay" stretching his hand into the upper layer of his drawer to bring out a cup. he didn't want to stand up from his bed "Go and get me water from the tap"
"Okay, sir" running off after collecting the cup.
He was in a hurry to return back to his friends. Why is it that out of all of his friends, she picked me? Is it because of my size or do I look easy to send? He was asking himself all these questions as he was running
" Gideon, are you with my comb?"Daniel asked his classmate.
He was almost ready to go, he just needed to comb his hair. It is almost impossible to keep something and expect to see it where you left it in this hostel, they borrow and never return. After spending a year and a half in this school, he still couldn't understand why he was surprised anytime it happens
"Here sir" the junior student was back in lightening speed
"Nice, that was fast" collecting the cup form him. "What is your name" he liked like that he was fast, maybe he'll take him under his care as his school son
"Ola" he answered
" So Ola, did you spit inside?" Daniel was in investigation mode, one can never be too careful with this juniors
"No sir"
" Where did you get it from? from the tap or the well?
"From the tap"
"If I drink this water and it has any funny taste or smell, I will kill you"
"Yes sir" he answered very sure of himself
"Good" Daniel tasted the water. No funny smell and no taste, check and check. So he drank it all. Turning to face his bed. "Good boy, don't be like your seniors ohh. Remain a good boy, come and meet me after dinner"
"Okay sir" with that Ola sneaked out of the room
" Pick my shoe from that place.." Daniel pointed to his slides at the foot of his bunk without looking at his back "and clean it with wet clo..."
