Wow.

Within the space of a month, through blood, sweat, and tears, I finished a book.

On one side, I'm estatic to become an author, I mean, how amazing is that? The fact that there is an entire 15,018 words, 47 pages, one word document of just my ideas.

Whoa.

On the other side, I'm a little sad. In a way, along this journey, I kind of fell in love with my characters a little. And as the pink NaNoWriMo pamphlet said when I recieved it, I "got to know my characters much more than I would like too". And I guess I really did.

I got to know Hugo, someone who seemed like a big, strong man but inside was really just a scared little boy mourning the loss of his brother and parents, someone who could fight a criminal then go home and hug his mom.

I got to know Time, just an older brother conquered with so much responsibility.

I got to know Oblivion, someone who could be portrayed as evil, but really isn't

I got to know some of my minor characters too; Jacques, Adéle, Gear, Adolf, Rome, even Seven, someone you guys only knew for a paragraph or so. My point is, I could fill out a NaNoWriMo character description about even her! Here:

1. Name: Seven De Criox

2. Age: 21

3. Height: 5'6

4. Eye color: Gold

5. Physical appearance: Long white blonde hair, golden eyes, pale porceline skin, pale lips, clear face, thin arms, legs, and eyebrows

6. Strange or unique physical appearance: Her "white" hair, golden eyes

7. Hobbies/interests: Science, experimenting

8. Where does he or she live? What is it like there? Clockwork (Clockrete, now) Manor, shares with Rome

9. Special skills/abilities: Slightly weaker Clockwork abilities

10. Family (describe): Older sister named Angelica (25 years old, golden eyes, pale, golden blonde hair), father died when she was young (where Angelica and Seven got their hair), mother (42 years old, golden eyes, pale skin, dark hair)

11. Description of his or her house: A small room, two twin beds with golden sheets, bathroom, closet

12. Description of his or her bedroom: (Above)

13. Favorite bands/songs/type of music: Prefers classical music, but occasionally likes one of Rome's jig songs

14. Favorite movies: (no TV)

15. Favorite TV shows: (no TV)

816. Favorite books: Jane Erye, Oliver Twist, etc...

17. Favorite foods: Her mother's red velvet cake

18. Favorite sports/sports teams: (none)

19. Political views: Mixed feelings, expected to love Clockwork but also is intrigued scientifically by Lanrete

20. Any interesting philosophies on life? Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you're going to get.

21. Religion: Uhhh... Clockwork?

22. Physical health: Decent

23. Pet peeves: Stains

TECJOTPAHG is sort of my baby, and I'll be sad to see it go. On December 10th I'll recieve my publishing code and be able to recieve 5 free paperback copies, one of which will go to my parents (obviously), one to my humanties teacher from last year and his wife who continually pushed me to do my best, two to family members, and one, only one, will sit proudly on my bookshelf. And everytime someone will walk by it, see my name on it, and go, whoa, did you really write a bookAnd I'll be able to say, why yes, yes I did, and in a month too.

For some reason, that makes it all the more impressive.

Anyway, I love all of you (especially you, Alyce) for sticking with me throughout this fabulous journey. :)

ALRIGHT... Away from the soppy stuff... *tear*

The topic of a sequel...

There is certaintly room for one (what with all the questions unanswered, Hugo's brother's origen, the Vermin, etc. etc.) but I don't want to ruin it by being one of those authors that drags it on long after it should end (AKA Becca Fitzgerald, James Patterson, etc. etc...). So, please, tell me, should I make a sequel.

ANYWAY...

Peace out, love you all, new chapters coming soon, love Hugo, this was a super long author's note...
