Shikamaru was the first one up which was his new normal. He groaned at the thought of combing out his knots that formed during the night. He turned to meet Naruto's chest which was rising steadily, he smiled and snuggled a bit before getting up. He got ready quickly and woke up Naruto.

"Don't you have a meeting in an hour?" Shikamaru said looking into his sleeping face. Naruto scowled.

"Bee and I are taking shifts, I have work tomorrow." Naruto turned his back on him. "Now for the much desired sleep."

"No, that means you can help me deal with the hoards of questions we face as soon as we go outside." Shikamaru smiled and pulled him out of bed.

"You know over the years I think you got too comfortable." Naruto grumbled as he headed into the shower. Shikamaru stood by the door watching him.

"How can I not?" His wife said with a smirk. "You placed me on a throne and made me stay there by force and make my selfish demands reality."

"Exactly, maybe you should come off and do a little dirty work." Naruto said and toweled off himself before putting on a casual out. Black pants, combat boots and a white sleeveless shirt. Shikamaru was in something similar but it was in full white.

Naruto went to the adjoining room were the twins still slept. "Alright mayhems, get up or breakfast will be over with when you get ready." That got Boruto up who was naturally a light sleeper but Shikadai turned his back still in deep sleep.

Naruto shook his head and dressed Boruto in his usual morning outfit. Paint spattered pants and a crisp white shirt. He dressed the still asleep Shika in the same clothes but his shirt was light green. Boruto ran to his mother's side who took his hand and led him out the door. As they headed into the lobby of the hotel they were met with Team 7 and 10 who had their kids with them.

"Can't we have breakfast in peace before this," Naruto grumbled as he adjusted his grip on Shikadai.

"I'm sorry maybe we came a bit early," Sakura apologized as she looked on at the changes. In her eyes they looked younger than them which was weird, sure they were all 26 or 27 but still they could've passed for 18 no problem.

"Mom, did you even attempt to comb your hair." Boruto asked as he tugged on it from where he stood beside him.

"Let me ask you this, did you wash yours last night?" Shikamaru looked down at him. Boruto blushed in embarrassment. "And your father had the audacity to lie about it to me."

Naruto raised a hand in defense. "Hey, don't drag me into this." Boruto shot him a betrayed look.

"Dad," Shikadai whined as he opened one of his eyes.

"Finally up, do you think you can slack off just because your on a trip." Naruto held him up by his shirt and released him. Shikadai landed with ease and turned to his twin.

"Do you have it?" He asked, Boruto dropped his previous whining and produced a scroll from his pocket. "Let's go," They were gone in a flash.

"Now that they've started morning training," Shikamaru turned to his former friends. "How about breakfast."

As they walked to a nearby restaurant they were quietly observed by the others.

"Why," Ino asked as they had seated in the restaurant. Naruto was calmly making his way through the standard breakfast while Shikamaru sipped on his tea.

"Your going to have to be more specific." Shikamaru spoke up as he folded his legs. Now that Ino had a chance to observe much closer, Shikamaru looked different. And she noted a red mark peaking out on his shoulder, it wasn't a hickey since it looked too solid in color.
