Chapter 1: School

<Camila's POV>
I woke up to the worst sound in the world; my alarm clock. I glanced at the time and saw it was 6:00. I didn't actually have to be at school till 7:30 but I knew my parents would wake me up at any moment. I shrugged and sat up pushing my hand through my hair. I looked around at all the boxes I had yet to unpack. My parents packed my sister and I up and moved us from Miami, Florida to Washington. Today was my first day of school and I was dreading every moment of it. I pulled myself out of bed and walked to the bathroom to take a quick shower. When I got out it was around 6:30. I dried my hair and ran a brush through it. I brushed my teeth and then walked back into my room. I sorted through some of my clothes and changed into a pair of black skinny jeans and a white faded band t-shirt. I decided on my simple converse. It was the first day and I want looking to impress anyone. After I approved of my look I grabbed my bag of supplies for school and walked downstairs. Sofi was already at the table with a bowl of cereal and watching morning cartoons. I smiled at my younger sister and kissed her forehead before grabbing an apple myself.
"Good Morning Mila!" She said with a mouthful of cereal.
"Good Morning Soph." I couldn't help but smile at her adorable manner.
Before long my mother came down the steps with the car keys.
"Let's go darlings, we wouldn't want to be late on the first day would we?"
I just chuckled as Sofi jumped down from her chair and ran to the car. Once my mom had dropped Sofi off at her school she drove me to the high school. When she pulled up to the school I noticed we were a half hour early.
"Try and make some friends please." My mother gave me a serious look.
"I'll see you later mom." I shrugged and opened the door stepping out into the morning air.
