Chapter 9: She Knows

<Camila's POV>
As soon as the last bell rang I ran out of the classroom grabbed my bag and put in my homework and grabbed my phone, I ran out of the school and saw my mom waiting outside, we had to pick Sofi up in about a half hour so we drove to her school and waited until she came out.
~~~Later That Night~~~
<Still Camila's POV>
I had my headphone plugged in as I was sitting at my computer desk doing some homework when I heard a loud crash. I pulled my headphone out and ran down the stairs to see my parents were fighting, it wasn't anything new. My father had broken a vase and my mom was at the edge of tears, I ran over to my mom and tried to comfort her, my father kept yelling and my mother kept crying, I saw Sofi come down the steps and I knew I had to get her out of the room. I ran back up the steps and took hold of Sofi, I walked into her room and tucked her in, I stayed in her room until she fell asleep, my father had left because his car was gone and my mother licked herself in her room, I wanted to walk in but she needed time, I slipped on my converse and grabbed a hoodie, I ran out of my house and ran as far as I could, I needed to clear my head. About 45 minutes later and I found myself in a deeply worded area, to say I was scared was an understatement, I was lost in the woods in the middle of the night, I was still walking when I heard rustling behind me, I turned behind me and didn't see anything, I looked ahead of me and saw 3 dark figures, all I could make out was their red eyes, I slowly backed up but one of the red-eyed figures was behind me, I turned to face him when my back hit his solid figure, they all had toothy grins on their faces, they all started walking closer to me and I closed my eyes expecting my life to be over but before I could I heard growling coming from around us, I opened my eyes ad looked to my left, I saw 3 animals walk into the moonlight, they were huge, they stood about 7 feet tall on all four of their legs, their muzzles that were about half the size of their bodies. I couldn't help but take in the beauty of their appearance, one had russet brown fur and brown eyes, another one had grey fur with black spots occasionally splattered on it, and the last one stood taller than the russet brown one, but slightly smaller than the grey one, it had piercing green eyes and pitch black fur. They were about 15 feet away from the red-eyed figures when the red-eyed goons took off, they were faster than humanly possible, I felt my heartbeat speed up as I thought the wolves would attack me, but they didn't, the grey one and russet brown one took off after them just as fast as they took off. I looked back and the green eyed wolf stood and stared at me, the wolf reminded me of someone... but who? Then it suddenly clicked, Lauren. The wolf looked as if someone was yelling at it in its head, then it took off after the others, I stood frozen slightly and then I started running again, I eventually found my way out of the forest and ran home.

*<Lauren's POV>*
I couldn't disobey alpha command so I took off toward the others, it didn't take me long to catch up, I was running next to Chris and Ally who were chasing two of the vampires, the third one separated and I followed it, I ran next to him and bit at his foot, the vampire stumbled into a tree and quickly got back up, he instantly got back up and we circled each other in attack positions. I felt like a truck had hit me as I went flying into a tree, I whimpered when I felt my back make contact with a broken tree, a vampire pounced into the air ready to land on me when I saw Chris jump over the broken tree and catch the vampire mid air in his mouth, he bit down on the vampires torso and landed with him, I got back up and circled the other vampire, he charged and I barely got out of his way, I turned quickly and he ran past me, out of the corner of my eyes I saw Chris tear the head off of the other vampire, he looked up as charged at the other vampire, he got his shoulder from behind and I grabbed his torso, we pulled in opposite directions until the vampire was in half.
'Is everyone okay?' I heard Ally ask through our mind like as she ran over to Chris and I, we dropped the severed body parts out of our mouths and nodded.
'What happened to the third one?' Chris asked back in the mind link.
'He got over the border. We need to get back, Sam's pack will be taking over now." We both nodded and ran back to the house.
