It's been a few hours since Dahyun woke up. The group spent their last night like you would expect it, a night of celebration and laughs, all except for Momo and Dahyun. They were tense, avoided each other, and they weren't on speaking terms at all.
It was a cloudy morning in Tokyo. The girls were now walking towards the departure sector of the airport in their usual airport fashion. Dahyun, however, had to resort to wearing a bucket hat and Momo to wearing a baggy hoodie to avoid their injuries being spotted without being addressed by the company first.
Jihyo was walking alongside Dahyun to take care of her, while Momo did her best to match Sana's pace and head to the front of their file.
"How's your arm?" Sana said, her voice muffled by the mask she was wearing. The older girl replied with a weak smile, rubbing her bruise gently over the soft cotton of her hoodie. "Better than before."
Soon enough, they board the airplane headed back to Seoul. It was a private plane, courtesy of Japan's tourism department. The flight back home consisted mostly of the members squeezing in their rest before their schedules, all of them except for two people.
Dahyun was stuck up on how to start talking to Momo, while the latter was worried their relationship was beyond repair. Whether platonic or romantic, all Momo wanted was Dahyun.
Roughly 45 minutes into the flight, Dahyun had to use the restroom. After cleaning herself up, she faced the vanity mirror intently. The bruise on her forehead wasn't as bad as before, but she knew that it could've been worse, if Momo didn't save her. She and Momo were still bound to get a handful from their managers back in Korea, but somehow, it didn't matter.
The faucet opened and Dahyun splashed a handful of cold water onto her face to freshen up. Whilst drying up her face with soft damps, she pouted. Why can't I approach her? I need to thank her... A sharp inhale came from Dahyun. That's right. I'll do it back it Korea. She decided.
Unlocking the bathroom doors, she grabbed her small hygiene purse and headed out.
Leaning against the wall near the door was Momo. As Dahyun passed the threshold, she and the older made eye contact.
Hey. Momo's eyes tried to connect deeper. A blush slowly crept to Dahyun's face, causing her to become bashful and look away and break their gaze. Momo sighed quietly and picked her body back up, about to enter the bathroom.
"Um..." a soft peep from the younger girl made Momo stop. "Ah, she speaks." Momo chuckled softly, careful not to wake up the other members.
Dahyun had her back facing Momo, her shy, tomato-tinted face hidden. "T-Thank you."
"For what?" Momo blurted out in confusion, no idea that the girl in front of her was made aware of the events that occured last night. "F-For saving me. The elevator... thingy." As she said that, Dahyun mustered up what courage she could and turned her body to face Momo.
"And I'm sorry for being upset at you... over Yui." Dahyun looked up to meet Momo's eyes. The older girl, in return, closed her eyes and breathed in slowly. Red started tinting the girl's face, her face heating up.
C-C-C-Cut-e.... The echo in Momo's thoughts stuttered out from under her breath. After a futile attempt at regaining her composure, she connected gazes with Dahyun once again.
Much to Dahyun's shock, Momo had swiftly pulled her arm into the tight bathroom booth and into the older's embrace. "Don't mention it, dummy." A soft whisper from a now embarassed Momo was heard.
It became evident just how small the bathroom on the plane was. After hugging her, Momo pivoted both of their bodies, with Dahyun against the sink. Two arms locked against the sink, locking Dahyun into place. Their faces, so close that Dahyun could feel Momo's breath against her lips.
