A FEW HOURS AGO

"Yui-chan!!!" a slender figure ran towards another girl about the same height as her. You could immediately tell she was excited to see the girl.

"Momoring!~ I missed you!" The other girl exclaimed. Their eyes met and all they could do was giggle. From a stranger's view, you would easily mistake them for a lovely couple. Maybe it was something one of them hoped for, going as far as having a plan to get the other back.

MOMO'S POV

I couldn't believe it. It was such a delight to see Yui again. It's been such a long time. I promised her I was going to see her again after I left for training. She felt upset that I didn't have time to visit even when I was on vacations when TWICE wasn't out promoting. I felt bad, but it's not exactly easy to go about the streets of Tokyo when you're the top girl group of the generation.

After embracing Yui, our eyes meet. Yui was the only person who understood me needless of speech, before I met Sana, anyway. Back then, Yui was home. She was comfort... but I can't just forget about what happened between us.

I shrugged the thoughts off. It's been long forgotten, and it should stay that way. I can't risk a scandal emerging... and what would Dahyun think? Wait, no, why are you thinking about her?.. As I snapped away from the trance, Yui cocked her head in concern. "Are you okay, Momoring?" She asked. I nodded and giggled to reassure her that I was comfortable. "Okay, well, what do you wanna do first?" Yui smiled ever so lovingly at me. Honestly, I never know if I can trust her. Her smiles are charming, but there's always something beyond that. Something dark.

I looked around and puckered my lips as I thought of things to do. I should get back before it's too late, so I should probably pick something that's not so time-consuming. "What do you suggest? I'm all ears, Yui-chii!" Yui's face brightened up at my question and grabbed my hand. Immediately, our manager, who was waiting besides our van, furrowed her eyebrows and called to me softly. I sighed and told her that it was okay.

Showing signs of hesitation at first, Yui threw a concerning look to me. I reassured her that it was alright. After all, I kind of owed it to her at this point. "Don't steer too far, Momo." Manager unnie warned. "Fineee!~" I pouted, knowing I'd have no other choice but to agree.

"Do you remember what we used to do after school back then? On the weekends? Heck, even on exam weeks?" Yui was speaking while her back was turned against me, walking at a rapid pace I could barely catch up to because of the crowd. I could barely hear her as well, but her voice was so distinct to me that I would never fail to not recognize it among many others.

Looking back at the past, we did do a lot of things together in high school. Ice cream, sushi bars, arcades, you name it. But we always did this one special thing to blow off steam. "Is tonight karaoke night?!" I exclaimed as I tried to match her pace, what with her holding my hand while she threads through the sea of people.

She simply gave out a giggle and continued pacing through the crowd, eventually stopping in front of a small building with glass doors. It had decorations of mics and music notes. I looked up. It was a tall building, but I immediately knew what this building was. Karaoke nights with Yui was the best.

She opened the doors and I followed, breathing a sigh of relief to know that I had time to catch my breath. "Tired already, Momoring?~ Come on!~ What did the idol training do to you?" Yui complained. "Shut up, Yui! You know you've always been too fast of a walker for me to match." I said in a breath. When I finally managed to breathe the fatigue out, I got to get a good look around. The place hasn't changed so much, only a few renovations here and there.
