Derek's P. O. V

I plopped onto the bed Mike was sitting on, rolled my way over to him, and peeked my head over his arms so I could see his phone.

"Ouuuuu, who are you texxxtiinnngggggg?" I teased looking up at him, he rolled his eyes and shoved my head.

Vallyk came running into the room, "THERE IS A HOT TUB!"

"Um yeah," Mike said and I gave a duh look.

"Why didnt you guys tell me?" He asked.

"I dont know, you were probably asleep as per usual when we were discussing it."

"Whatever," he said jumping on the bed and putting his chin on my stomach. Poor mattress.

We sat around for a minute, talking about who all was going to be at the playlist and then I jolted up suddenly. They all gave me a concerned look, but I didnt care.

"You cool?" Mike asked.

"Ya know what we should do?" I asked with a grin on my face.

"What?" Mike mumbled, damn hes grumpy, "We should go to the pier." I suggested rolling my eyes at him.

"I'm down," said Vallyk, "Me too I guess." They both got off the bed and went to put on their beach wear or whatever.

"Boyyyssss," I said skipping into the living room area, "Get ready we are going to the pierrrrr."

Everyone looked up at me confused, but then obliged since they weren't really doing anything else.

If we are being honest it was more like a boardwalk it was so huge, there were a bunch of shops, stands, and food trucks.

Me and Mike were going to the end of the pier to take pictures.

Before we could take another step I was sprayed in the face by bullets of water.

"Holy shit, I'm so sorry." A girl with brown hair and freckles ran over to us. "I promise that was not intended for you."

I smiled at her, she was cute, had full lips, tan skin, hazel eyes, and stood about 5'2. "Its fine, whats the gun for?"

"Long story, I'll tell you later, but if you don't mind me asking, can I use you two for a human shield?"

I was not expecting that, so I kinda of just stood there like a fish not knowing what to say, "I- uh- I- um- wha- you... sure I guess."

"Thank you so much," she grabbed me and Mike by the shoulders and pushed us together as if to make a wall.

Only then did I remember he was there. I guess he was still in shock, because his mouth was slightly ajar and he kept shaking his head as if to see if what just happened was real.

I raised my eyebrows and he returned it, this chick was a bit crazy.

"Sienna, come out from behind los chicos, you know better than to let innocents be caught in the middle of our war." A Latina girl said, maybe a year or two older than me, looking at us, or more like what was behind us.

"Never Carmen." She peeked around side of Mike who was on her left a took a shot at the Carmen girl who was about twenty feet away and hid back behind us.

"You know what would be great," she said looking up at me and Mike.

"Are you talking to us?" He asked looking around, "I mean yeah I wasnt talking to that seagull. What would be great tho is if we had water balloons."

I raised an eyebrow and Mike looked at her in a bit of awe, "Yeah that would be cool," I responded ",but we don't exactly have any handy."

"Dammit you're right," she shrank back into her stance, then lit up, "Ok you guys I have an idea. Do either you have a dollar I promise to pay you back?" She asked. Mike nodded and carefully took out his wallet.
