Parker's POV - 6 Month Anniversary

"So where are we driving?" I ask Niall as I turn in my seat to face him. We had been driving for half an hour and he hadn't even told me where we were going.

"We're going on a bit of an adventure today. We've got 3 different stops." He said proudly.

"Can you tell me what the first stop is?" I ask in the sweetest voice I could manage. Flashing puppy dog eyes even though he wasn't looking my way. Before he could open his mouth to speak again my stomach began to growl loudly.

"Right on cue. First stop is lunch."

After a few more minutes of driving we park at a diner. It looked like it was straight out of a movie. I had no idea what he had planned for the day but I'd say we were off to a great start. We pull into a parking spot in the small parking lot and quickly hit the car.

The door made that familiar dig sound when Niall opened it. I felt like I was transported back into a different time. The bright red leather booths and the bar area that had matching red leather stools.

"You two pick a seat and I'll be right over! Menus are at the table." I woman speaks up from behind the bar area.

We sit down at a booth that's towards the back of the restaurant. The place is very open so there wasn't really a place for us to go where Niall wouldn't be seen. We slide into opposite sides of the booth. Looking over the menus that are placed on the table in front of us.

"I've really been craving a milkshake so you couldn't have picked a better place for us to go." I say as I read all of the different milkshake flavors they offer. Knowing I was going to choose strawberry no matter how many creative options they had. Strawberry milkshakes are like my chicken nuggets and fries. I know it'll be good no matter where I go.

"You've been talking about milkshakes and burgers all week. It would be hard for me to mess this one up." He responds. I don't know if I should be hurt that he called me out or happy he was actually listening to all my talking about food.

A few more minutes go by and the waitress finally makes her way to our table. Niall and I both order the same meal of a burger and fries, but he opts for water instead of a milkshake. Within 10 minutes she was back at our table with our food and we immediately dug in.

"This is everything I have ever wanted." I practically moan out after I finish my burger. Slowly making my way through the last of my fries.

"6 months together and it still amazes me how much you can eat. I can't even think of a time we've gone out to eat where you didn't finish your whole plate." He laughs out before taking a bite of another fry.

"Hey, you heard my stomach growling in the car. I was starving." I respond in defense.

"You're always starving." I roll my eyes at his comment and throw one of my fries at him. It hits him right in the cheek before falling down onto his plate. Instead of fighting back he just picks up the fry and eats it.

"It feels like so much longer than 6 months. Maybe it's because I spent almost every single day of that 6 months with you." Every time I think about how much time we spend together my mind automatically remembers that he would be leaving soon. I don't know why I was so caught up on the two months that I would be apart from him, but I was. I'd be right back with him when it was over, but that two months just seems like torture.

We talk for a little while longer while we both finish off our plates. Leaving me to quickly drink the remainder of my shake while we wait for the waitress to return with Niall's card after paying. Once we're done we make our way back to the car.
