PIECE OF CAKE

"What's wrong with you?" Riley asked Justin who walked in with a frown on his face.
"Other than the fact that Jordan woke up on the wrong side of the bed," Justin said annoyed.
"It's usually him complaining about you. What could have Jordan possibly done to make you say that?" Nathan asked and the others agreed.

"Well, I don't know. Maybe it's the fact that first of all he woke me up with a bucket of cold water, or maybe it's because he yelled at me for chewing my toast too loud, or maybe it's the fact that I literally had to run after the car because he was leaving me without a word or maybe it was because he was driving over 60. I love speed but Jordan never drives over 60. I was literally scared for my life," Justin explained.

"Whoa... man. What did you do?" Owen asked.
"Why do you assume it's my fault?" Justin asked shocked.
"You annoy him on purpose every single day," Yuan said.
"And send him stupid texts all the time," Austin added.

"Okay, I admit I may go overboard sometimes but I haven't done anything recently unless I annoy him in my sleep," Justin said with a frown but Riley held his hand in comfort.

"Don't worry baby. Just let him cool off and get him something he likes to brighten up his day and forget why he is mad in the first place," advised Riley and Justin couldn't help but smile at his boyfriend.

"You always know how to male me feel better," Justin said before kissing Riley.
"It's my job," Riley said before initiating a deeper kiss.
"And.. this is when we leave before the principal finds you two and signs you up for detention for PDA. I'm not going to be caught in the crossfire," Austin said and the others agreed and left for class.

In the last week, the couple had gotten 3 detentions because of their making out and Yuan got one detention for 'watching' as their principal had said.

Jordan felt a bit better knowing he was about to see Rider in the library but he was disappointed when he found Miles was sitting next to the smaller.
At first, it looked like Miles was talking to himself since Rider wasn't responding but Jordan didn't miss the visible blush that covered his face as he kept his eyes focused on his text book.

Jordan was tired of what he was seeing and decided to approach the pair when suddenly Rider grabbed Miles's ear twisting it.
"Ouch ouchhh...okay I will leave...I'm sorry I won't ruin your study time, just let go.."

"Shhhhhh...." The librarian complained about the noise, forcing Rider to let go and Miles stood up creating a distance between them.
"This doesn't mean I'm giving up, Rider," Miles said earning himself a scolding from the librarian before he was kicked out.

Jordan settled next to Rider who smiled at him in return. Jordan loved seeing Rider smile. It made him feel strange but he liked it.
"Where have you been? I thought my brain was going to explode because that idiot wouldn't stop going on about his nonsense,"  Rider said as he held his head.

"I'm sorry. It was a late morning," Jordan said with a smile.
"It's alright. I'm just glad you are here now. I prefer your company compared to the others," Rider said and soon they were back into their study cycle and sat smiling next to each other.

At lunch time, the whole crew was chilling by the usual table when a junior came with a single red rose and a box of chocolates but everyone was shocked the gift was for Rider.
Riley grabbed the card at the top in a flash and read it out loud.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
I'm not poetic
But I'm willing
to try it out for you

The whole table got shocked and looked at  Rider.
"Miles as in the douchebag who tapped my ass, as in the idiot you beat up??" Riley asked in shocked.
Rider took an annoyed deep breath before nodding his head.

"OMG. When did this happen? Why didn't you tell me?!" Riley asked looking offended.
"It's nothing serious. He confessed yesterday and there was no need to tell you because it isn't relevant," Rider said in response as he kept his eyes on the gift.

He was a bit shocked Miles had sent him a gift.
He never expected the bully to be this persistent and dare he say it...romantic.
In the morning, he had sat next to him in the library, quiet at first. But after a while he started talking and complementing Rider.

He then talked about going on a romantic date when Rider ended up pulling on his ear complaining that he was interrupting his study time. Honestly, Rider did it more to hide his blush than chase the male.

"It doesn't matter. We tell each other everything. OMG! I would have never guessed. Rider has an admirer," Riley said with a laugh in the end.
"True. This is very unexpected," Justin said but his focus was on Jordan who seemed to be glaring at the box of chocolates and something seemed to click. Jordan did start acting weird from last night.

"So, do you like him?" Owen asked with a smile.
"Hell no. He is not my type," Rider said as if the thought was absurd.
"Really? So what's your type?" Austin asked and they all didn't miss how Rider slightly glanced in Jordan's direction before he cleared his throat.

"That's none of your business. If you'll excuse me I will be returning this to that idiot. So much sugar is bad for my health," Rider said as he stood and left.
Jordan left shortly without giving an excuse but they all saw he was pissed.

"Well, that was interesting,"  Nathan said breaking the silence.
"I didn't know Miles had it in him," Yuan said.
"Who cares about Miles. Didn't you see the way Rider gave Jordan fuxk me eyes. He is totally into him," Riley said with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"Now, I know why Jordan was mad. It was only a matter of time for those two to fall," Justin said.
"So, let's give them a hand and totally hook them up. They are begging for our help," Riley said.

"I don't think that's a good idea. Let's just let it happen,"  Austin said.
"Don't worry. It's going to be a piece of cake," Riley said and his boyfriend was totally up for it.

Rider had finally found Miles but after school.
Jordan had already left with an excuse that he needed to pick up something in town leaving Rider alone. Justin was at basketball practice while Riley went to watch as usual and keep 'vultures' away from his man, as he said.

"Please take this back and don't ever send me a gift again," Rider said.
"I'm just showing you how I feel about you. Is it that you don't like chocolates? I can get you something you like. Just tell me," Miles said.

"You don't know anything about me and..."
"I want to know more about you. Just go out with me once. Give me a chance and judge me after that," Miles said.
"I don't know...actually no i..." but before Rider could say another word he felt lips on his own.
