Cass stumbled over her own two feet as if they were someone else's. Funny enough, she remembered to bring a book but not a flash light. What an odd thing to forget, nightime seems like the perfect time to escape. Then again, only if you remember absolutely everything. Cass was to caught up in her own thoughts to realize she was about to trip over one of her peers, who was laying on the ground.

"Fuck nuts on a stick!" Hues screeched as she tripped over the quiet girl, who hadn't noticed Cass until now. "I am so so sorry!" Hues squeaked out, sitting up. "It's really not that big of a deal, it was just unexpected." She heard the girl say in a soft whisper before using the light of her phone to see Hues' face. "Oh, hey Cass." They knew each other a little, as they would banter back in forth in the hallways during school time. "Oh! Hey Raven!" Cass said a bit louder than she meant and whispered out a 'sorry'.

"Soooo.... where are you headed?" Ms. Raven Jane nodded toward the girl's bag. "Anywhere to get the hell out of this town." Raven nodded, understanding, sort of wanting to ask, but not wanting to intrude. "Wanna tag along?" Raven's eyes lit up like a movie screen, nodded vigorously before heading into the house.

Raven had problems, sort of the opposite of Ms. Hues. Her father had died in a car crash, both Raven and him were in the car when it happened. Mrs. Jane had blamed Raven for distracting her father, causing him to crash the Hyundai. She missed her father dearly, as he was amazing to her. But now, she's neglected and ignored. No food unless she makes it herself. No clothes unless she buys them. She was on her own. So, when Ms. Hues asked that one simply question, she couldn't help but feel a hint of joy, but still felt guilty for feeling it. She felt guilty for wanting to leave her mom. Even though her mom hated her, Raven still loved her mom.

She quickly came out with a backpack, a sweatshirt on over her tank-top and a bright smile. Smile was something the girl rarely did. Ms. Hues decided she wanted to see that smile more.
