The three girls continued to walk further and further away from the gas station until Ms. Beth Hubbins spoke up, "Oh shit! I left something at the gas station, be right back." Raven sighed and Cass said, "Yeah, make it quick Hubbins. We ain't got all night." And with that, the girl hurried into the store.
"So what's the shit between you and River?" Hues asked. "He's a little shit." "Fair enough."
What the pair didn't know is that Beth wasn't grabbing something, but someone. Someone who had no facial hair, a head full of black hair, a thick southern accent, and a smile that make Raven want to die.
Bingo, you guessed it.
"River? What the fuck is he doing here Hubbins?!" Cass asked, avoiding the stare of the boy. "HE'S SAD AND LONELYYYYYY. RAVEN OF ALL PEOPLE SHOULD GET THAT, NO?" Raven just scoffed and said "Yeah, yeah I guess so." Cass just sighed and nodded, "No bull-fuckery though!" He smiled and nodded before mumbling a little 'sir, yes sir'. "Ah fuckin' hell Beth." Raven cursed softly, wondering how she could change their minds so easily.
They stepped on the rubble, making it crunch softly under their feet. At this point River was just following whatever they were doing, Raven was humming a song, Beth was smiling at her persuasion skill, and Cass was spacing out. That being said, they looked absolutely mad. With messed up hair, dirty pant legs, and spaced out expressions, you would easily mistake them for one of those DIY emo bands. Not a bad look, just not a look for them.
Cass heard Raven and got curious, "Hey," she nudged her side, "What's that song." Raven looked up at her and faked a weak smile.
"Peppermint Smiles, by Tiffi."
