Ming's pov:

When i came out of the room the next morning, mom and dad were already in the kitchen.

"Good morning." I greeted them.

"Good morning baby. Did you sleep well?" Mom smiled.

I nodded.

"Well of course he slept well. He was with Pha after all." Dad pouted.

"You shouldn't be jealous of your own son you know?" P'pha came up behind me.

Dad just ignored him and continued with what he was doing.

Mom and i chuckled.

"Don't you guys have to go to work?" P'pha asked them.

"We took a week's leave so we can hang out with Ming." Dad smiled.

"Oh and Aria will be coming with Bank today. It's been a long time since we've talked so i thought i should invite them over. Bank is around Ming's age so they can play together." Mom spoke up.

I looked at p'pha questioning.

"Aunt Aria is mom's close friend. Bank is her son. They had moved to London before you moved here. They just came back four months ago." He explained.

I nodded.

After breakfast, dad, p'pha and i played some video games together.

P'pha would beat us everytime in the beginning but once i got the hang of it beat both of them easily.

"You're one fast learner..." Dad mumbled. "You got the hang of it on the third round." he looked at me surprised.

P'pha also had the same expression.

I scratched my head sheepishly.

Just then the doorbell rang.

"That must be Aria and Bank." Dad said.

Mom opened the door and a middle aged woman and a boy who looked my age came in.

The moment i saw the boy, i scrambled to get behind p'pha.

"Ming? What's wrong?" P'pha asked.

Dad and mom were also looking at me worriedly.

The woman- aunt Aria- also had the same expression.

The boy- Bank- seems to have recognised me.

His expression went from a smile to one of fear.

Pha's pov:

The moment he saw Bank he scrambled behind me.

Why is he so afraid of him?

I looked between them for a while before looking at dad.

He seems to have also realised it and nodded.

"Ming come here." I pulled him and lifted him up.

I brought him into the bedroom and put him down on the bed.

I knelt infront of him and held his hands gently.

"Why are you so scared of him?" I asked.

He bit his lips and looked away. He looked really scared.

"Ming i won't let anyone hurt you so don't be scared. Tell me." I assured him.

He looked at me hesitantly.

"H-he would beat me whenever he s-saw me on the street. He s-said I'm a weak idiot. That I'm j-just a waste of space." His eyes pooled with tears.

I could feel anger rise up inside me.
