(Chapter 4) Introductions...

P.o.V (Me)

It had been days since Shinso appeared at his old home. He had been helping to keep him busy, but one thing was on his mind whenever it went blank. Why hadn't she fallen under his spell? He wondered if he should ask Hizashi but quickly dismissed the idea. Then something else popped into his head, How did she do that? He had heard stories of witches but, didn't they all get hunted down and burned at the stake? Now he couldn't sleep. Hitoshi got up and headed outside to sit by the water to try and calm his head. Soon the boy fell asleep by the lake. But he wasn't the only one awake. Eri couldn't sleep because a simple nightmare so she had gone to get a drink only to see a different figure standing, looking out the window. It wasn't Shota or Hizashi, or Hitoshi so who was it? She tried to turn around quietly and got get one of the dads when they heard me and whipped their head around.

"Don't be scared of me," they said quietly "I mean you no harm. I just... woke up here..." and with that Eri's eyes widened. That's the girl Toshi brought! She though.

"I'm not scared of you; I just didn't know you were awake," Eri spoke up. They looked at each other for a second before Eri spoke again. "I'm going to get one of my dad's. Okay?"

"Wait..." She said from the dark... Eri stopped. "Follow me young one..." she said as she went to the door. Curious, Eri follows her outside...

P.o.V Eri

Where is she taking me, I wonder? I follow her to the forest to the left of the house and sat down. She patted the grass behind her, signalling for me to sit down there. I did so and I could see her face just in the moonlight. Her e/c eye gleaming with happiness, her now, short h/c hair sitting nicely on her. She grabbed my hands gently, then closed her eyes. There was a momentary pause before the ground below both her and me, began to glow a bright green. The tree behind her seemed to shift out of the way for me to see a group of deer's running through the forest, highlighted by their fur glowing. Bunnies appeared next to me glowing with strange markings. It was a beautiful sight. The bunnies began to play with me. I giggled as they began to tickle me. Then from the corner of my eye, I see a big beautiful Stag who was also glowing. He bent his head down and picked me up. But how? Once I was on his back he began to walk to the forest. Two glowing yellow eyes were seen in the darkness. They began to walk forward. Scared I put my face into the Stags neck. Then I'm picked up and put on the ground I look up a see a bunny standing in front of me. It nuzzled me but with every touch, there was a little zap. "That's a guardian." I look behind me a see the girl patting a fox with scars around its front paws and bruising around its neck. Her once e/c were now glowing an icy blue. "The bunny is called Pikachu. He currently is guarding an aristocrat named Kaminari Denki." She continued while another animal approached her from behind. It was a blonde dog with yellow glowing marks all over its body. "Would you like to meet your guardian?" she asked me. Before we could reply we hear a gasp from the direction of the house. We turn heads around quickly and see Loud Dad standing there.

"Ummmm, Hi Dad," I say awkwardly. Another shape appears behind dad. It was Sleepy Dad.

"Eri what are you doing?!" He said worriedly. "You don't know her or these animals- what if they hurt you!?" he continued, the anger beginning to rise in his voice.

"Dad I'm safe- "I try.

"How do you know?! These are wild animals!"

"Bu- But Dad, they aren't hurting me- "

"ENOUGH! You are coming back inside now."

"Sorry to interrupt," The girl said. Both dads look at in utter shock. "But she is perfectly safe with all of these animals. They are guardians. They protect." She continued.

"How are you awake?!" Loud dad asked her.

"Simple. My guardians helped me heal." She replied going back to patting the fox.

"Your guardians? What are guardians?!" Sleepy dad asked.

"Shota, it's okay. I've heard of guardians. They're safe." Loud Dad spoke up calming dad. There was a slight pause before the girl spoke up.

"There is no need to hide in the shadows." She said looking in the direction of the lake. Dad's and I were confused until Toshi stepped out into the light. The realisation just hit her. "You're the siren I tried to save."

"And did." He said gruffly. There was silence before a black cat emerged from behind Sleepy Dad.

"Jasper? Where are you going?" Jasper ignored him and continued to walk towards the girl. Jasper stopped and sat down in front of the girl. She looked up at Jasper paused, then smiles. She brings her hand in front of Jasper. Jasper stepped forward and rubbed his head against her hand instantly being enveloped in white light to reveal a grey cat with white, glowing markings, eyes and a loop around its head.

"Jasper?" Dad's, Toshi and I say unanimously.

"This is your guardian." She said nodding her head towards Sleepy Dad without breaking eye contact with Jasper. Wide-eyed both Dad's looked at Jasper.

"Guardians live here in the human world?!" Loud Dad asked surprised.

"Yea, they are everywhere in Zetora and the human world." She said calming, now patting the purring Jasper. The fox pushed her gently trying to get her attention. She looked at the fox then smiled at began patting the fox too.

"Can I meet mine now err- "I began?

"Y/n. Call me Y/n." Y/n said.

"Well then, can I meet my guardian now Y/n?" I asked with a little confidence.

"Of course," she turned to the fox and whispered something. The fox bounded away into the forest. "She is going to fetch them for you."
