   Lucknow, Sheesh Mahal...

Devyani Raizada, the old matriarch of Raizada clan, was lost in her thoughts.  Her mind wandered to the past when her husband came home with a very pale and sick Arnav in his arms.  The little boy who was the answer to the prayers of their family and was taken away from them after his birth, finally came home.  Devyani Devi was so cautious about Arnav from then on that even parties were forbidden in their house. The Raizadas never wanted to see their Amy in any pain again. And this is the sole reason why Devyani devi, though disliked the idea of Khushi being the bride of Raizada family, didnot show it to others.  But there was always someone who could catch her dislike towards Khushi.  And whoelse could it be but Arnav himself...

Arnav had left his office after Aman left.  He was searching for his Dadi, to know if there is anything else left to be done. They had different events on tradition side that he had to consult his Dadi. As he approached the older woman sitting on the swing of one of the balcony facing garden lost in thought,he knew it was time to talk to his Dadi..

"Dadi.. "Arnav called the older woman to gain her attention.

Devyani Devi woke up from her trance and looked at her beloved grandson..

"Dadi, what were you thinking that you were so lost in thought?"asked Arnav gently while sitting beside his grandma on the swing.
"Nothing dear.  Just some random thoughts.  Tell me, why are you here? "asked Devyani devi.

"Dadi, do i need reason to look for my most favorite person now? "Arnav sulkingly asked..

"Ohh, but now you have grown up, the person you would be looking for might change"said the older woman indirectly hinting towards Khushi.

"Dadi, nothing can change my love for my family, and the woman i will marry will also become a part of this family.  And she will be a part of me so she would also love you guys. "said Arnav seriously.

Devyani devi didnot respond to it.

Arnav sighed. He knew he had to solve the problem as soon as possible or else it may affect his family.

"Dadi"called Arnav and took the hands of his grandma in his and looked into her eyes"dadi,do you not accept Khushi as a part of our family? "asked seriously..

Devyani devi knew she was caught and she didnot try to hide her dissatisfaction. So she didnot reply.

"Dadi, do you dislike Khushi because of her family background or do you have anyother reason to not like her? Please answer me dadi"requested Arnav.

"Dear, though I donot favour the marriage between you and Khushi, its majorly because of her personality. She is too innocent, and her innocence can cause you harm. To become wife of you, the King of our clan, she doesnot possess the qualities. A queen needs to be strong, rational, brave, and possess unconditional love for her husband.  Khushi may love you deeply, but she is so young, and if oneday she falls out of love, then you will be hurt.  And the last thing I want is you to be hurt.  Amy, she is too soft hearted, has a scarred past, a dangerous enemy is lurking behind her.  And she trusts anybody easily.  What if her innocence harms you? What if her personality causes you harm? I cannot accept that Amy.  I cannot accept that"said the old woman and wiped her tears.

She felt light afer she let out her feelings. And Arnav also sighed in relief.  He was glad that he had called Khushi and the call was on line when he talked with his grandmother, so that Khushi could understand her point..

Arnav hugged his grandmother and let her cry.

After sometime she calmed down.

"Dadi, what you fear is right. But its true that Khushi is my soulmate.  And if you are not happy, i will postpone this marriage or cancel the martiage.  But i will never marry anyone else other than her.  So my request is Dadi, you train her, to be your successor, train her how you want her to be.  Okay? "asked Arnav.

"Yes.  Why didn't i think of it before.. Ahh.. I am getting old"cried out the old lady in excitement.

Arnav finally sighed in relief and smiled slightly.
