22-Embracing the lost one

   Karanveer Raichand, Khushi's grandfather and Amrita Raichand, Khushi's grandmother were little lost.  The artival of Sashi Gupta reminded them of the past they had forgotten with passage of time and tension.  The problems of Kalavati, the death of Kamini, their daughter and her husband, the kidnapping of Khushi and what followed after that had shrouded their past relationships.  But Shashi Gupta reminded them of someone very close..  He was Sashank Gupta, the father of Sashi Gupta and Sravani,the mother of Sashi Gupta. Sashank and Karanveer were childhood friends and so were Amrita and Sravani..  Sravani was an orphan girl and was denied of her surname by her cruel relatives after her parents demise.  She was living life by begging when Amrita saw her and brought her with her.  From then on both became sisters.  When Amrira's marriage was fixed with Karanveer, Amrita's parents saw Sashank Gupta there and put forward the proposal of Sravani with Sashank..  Both couple got married same day. They were very close to each other.  But Kalavati, who was of same age as Sashi hurted Sashi very badly.  Kalavati pushed Sashi down the stairs as Sashi was playing with Kamini.. After that Karanveer requested Sashank to maintain a safe distance so as the only child of them would not be hurt..  But after that within few months Sashank and his wife Sravani both died..  And Sashi was taken in by his relatives..  Madhumati,the cousin sister of Sashi took responsibility of Sashi.. 

   "Amrita.. I feel bad.. I have neglected the only child of my best friend and brother..  He is in so much pain now..  I totally forgot about him.  At first after the death of Sashank and Sravani I kept distance to protect him from Kalavati.  But afterwards the storms of our life made me totally forget him.  I feel so bad Amrita.. So miserable.."lamented the old head of Raichand family..

  Amrita devi was also in tears.  Sravani was her sister in everything but blood.  Being the only child of her parents she was always alone.  But Sravani's arrival filled the void.  She was the younger sister Amrita loved dearly.  But she was not their for her only child..

It is said that guilt consumes everything, sometimes the best feelings too. And as the old matriarch and patriach of Raichand family were heading in that direction. Good people get entangled in grief then in guilt,while others in greed,then ignorance.. Good people,when in grief are open to help. And in this case the helping hand came from Shashi Gupta. Who better that the source can untangle the tangled feelings we feel..Who other that a person with love can make someone sinking hope..All it's needed is acceptance.And Sashi did that.

After waking up,when the Raichand couple told him about their relationship,Shashi rather than blaming them of abandoning him,for not looking for him,he simply embraced them and accepted them as his family. And the simple warmth of a hug,a genuine embrace is all that needed to melt the frost of grief,guilt covering the kind hearts of the Raichand couple..

As a day later,due to the tiredness,everyone gathered to discuss the matter,the Raizadas and Raichands could only laugh at the irony of destiny of their families,as they recalled the incidents of Arnav and Khushi alongwith Sashi and the deceased Daughter and Son in law of Raichands..A single person Kalavati had destroyed Raichand's peace and Malliks were connected to them. A common enemy,where enemy was in open,yet the reach of enemy,the depth of enemy's layers were not known. But so was the other side. Who knew where that young man who had gotten a second chance has reached..Only he knows,may be his lover too..
