ANA’S POV

So Angel decided to take me out the house tonight and she said everything I wanted was on her so after we had what she considered ‘The world’s best stake’ I went crazy with this Bar One cake that was for desert at this expensive restaurant that I never came to because the bill here was notorious for giving people who didn’t come prepared a ‘bill stroke’.

“Damn bestie, don’t eat too much you’re going to regret that in a few hours.” She warned and I’m pretty sure I tuned her out. Chocolate was my mistress and no matter how much I tried not to I would cheat on my good habits with her, chocolate made so much sense to me.

“Okay, that’s enough you’re embarrassing me right now. Hi yes, we’ll get a To Go bag for this one, I’d like the bill now, thank you.” Angel shouted across the restaurant for our waitress, which was technically more embarrassing than me raping that cake. No pun intended.

The bill came soon after, I was separated from my soul mate while they had to put her in a takeaway and that was the saddest moment of my night.

“Oh I like that jacket bestie, where did you get it?” I complimented as we walked out and waited for the valet to bring her car around. Angel laughed looking at me.

“Are you serious, I had this on when we left the apartment. How much brain matter do you lose when you hear food?” She mocked, but I wasn’t offended, I really do lose my mind before or after eating and the sugar rush afterwards is no joke either.

We got the keys, she practically tipped anybody in uniform she saw at that restaurant and we drove back to the apartment for a change of clothes and to get ready to go to the club at midnight.

The whole way back I was playing with anything in my path, Angel included, she had to put the child locks on for our ‘safety’ because I was playing a bit too much for her.

About 5 minutes away from the apartment she took a deep breath and I thought I saw some cold frost come out of her mouth but I’m high on sugar, I’m sure I was just seeing things.

“Best friend!” I shouted for her as I looked at her but she was focused on the road, my baby so cute when she focused.

“Babe?” she answered and I smiled. I am really high on this sugar.

“I love you so so so much.” I said and I leaned on the window looking at the night sky in the city, the stars are less visible but at least I could see them.

“Gosh I love you too Ana, but you need a girlfriend” she chuckled nervously but I brushed it off.

My thoughts then shifted to that stud I saw at Mc Donald’s the other night, then to the dream I had before Angel knocked on my door and I'm pretty sure I was a brighter shade in an instance, I smiled.

“ISawSomebodyIThinkILike.” I said so low it was inaudible. I thought she missed it but she sure did hear something because she asked. “What did you just say?”.

“I Said I’m glad we’re back.” I lied through my teeth while she parked at our underground parking after turning in to the apartment. She shut the car off but the child lock was still on so I couldn’t get out.

She unbuckled her seat belt, shifted on her seat, looked at me like I just told her I killed a man and asked again, much slower this time.

“Ana, aside from the lie you just told me, what did you say before that?” I unbuckled my seatbelt, turned back and reached for the love of my life who I placed carefully on the seat behind me so she wouldn’t get ruined and I sat up straight waiting for the doors to get unlocked, but nothing, she was still waiting.

“Damn I said I thought I like someone, can I go now?” I asked trying to open the door again, but she just looked at me trying to override the cars system and failing successfully at it.

“And?” she asked dryly. Come to think of it, I’ve never seen Angel so serious, it was cool but really scary, it was like she became a whole different person when she was dead serious.

“And nothing, I saw her, I liked her, I clamed up, I ran okay. What else do you want from me?” I asked getting heated so she unlocked the car doors and we both got out of the car.

“Did you get her name?” She asked following behind me trying to get away as I grow annoyed  mostly because the answer ‘No’ was all I had and I hated it.

“No, I just saw her, and I got creepy and I left. I couldn’t even introduce myself. I was a joke, can we stop talking about this now?” I felt like crying. Why couldn’t I just talk like a regular degular human being. Why do I have to get so anxious all the time.

I had no answers I hated it but I got a warm hug from Angel distracting me from my thoughts which made me feel a bit better about myself.

“Don’t worry about it, there’s gonna be plenty ass where we’re going tonight. It will make everything way better. I promise.” I won’t lie that made me feel a lot better I guess the prospects of ass shaking in your face while drunk or high cures any self doubt, a self prescribed cure.

We opened the reception door and walked to the elevator.

Zeke wasn’t there this time so I’m guessing he went to bed. He does that when it’s past his bedtime and just makes us use our disk to enter or leave the place so I have to make sure to bring the disk when we leave again tonight.

5 minutes later Angel and I were getting ready for the club. We made sure to bring dollar bills for generosity and our cards for enjoyment, if you know what I mean.

Tonight I decided I would go simple and comfortable with a black and white striped short sleeved shirt, and black jeans that were distressed on one knee and my Nike Air Force 1s while Angel was looking pretty good in her blue distressed jeans, white Jordan’s, a white Simplicity T-shirt and a jacket in case things got messy.

We stayed a bit longer for pre-drinks  trying our best to get to the club ready. We had two shots of Hennesey each, at 11:55 we called an Uber, grabbed our stuff and headed out.
