You stared at the group in front of you, who had yet to acknowledge your presence. They were crowded around the redhead, who you learned was named Kakyoin, and were talking about some guy named Dio. Your head was starting to pound at this point as the weight of everything that had happened so far came crashing down. You crumpled down to the floor and stared as Jotaro grabbed Kakyoin's face and the other two began freaking out. You saw a tentacle shoot out of Kakyoin's forehead and felt yourself get sick. Another one crawled out and then a mass was pulled out of his forehead and thrown into the air. Your eyes widened as the old man yelled and what looked like lightning shot out of his hand and the mass turned to dust. "I think I'm gonna be sick." You muttered and they all looked at you. "Who are you?" The old guy asked. "(Y/N)." That was all you could manage to get out. Jotaro walked to your side and leaned against the doorframe. "She saw what happened at the school." They all looked at you with wide eyes before the old man started smiling. "Well (Y/N)! I'm Joseph Joestar and this is my friend Avdol! I'm sure the fight was a bit scary but as you can see, he was no match for my grandson's Stand!" You looked at him confused. "Stand? What are you talking about?" A silence filled the room. "Stop joking around, (Y/N)." Jotaro stated lowly. "I'm not. I have no idea what you're talking about. I was going to the nurse and I saw you two fighting but you weren't actually punching each other? But you were still hurting each other? And I saw you get thrown across the room! And then I watched you pull that-that thing out of Kakyoin's forehead! And-" You took a deep breath. You looked around and everyone's face was a mix of shock and a bit grim. "Good grief." Jotaro said. "I'm sure you have a lot of questions. Why don't you come sit down here and we'll do our best to answer what we can." Avdol said. Jotaro put his hands under your arms and picked you up off the floor before helping you to the table. "Thanks." You said softly. Holly came in with a first aid box and a smile. "Oh! Let's get you cleaned up! And I'll need to check you for any injuries too (Y/N), just to be safe!" You gasped and looked at Jotaro. "Your knee." He grimaced. "It's fine." You frowned but knew better than to push it. A cup was placed in front of you and you gave Avdol a smile. "Thank you." "So (Y/N)... what questions do you have?" You took a sip of your tea. "What's a stand?" "A stand is a manifestation of one's soul using their energy. Some have had theirs since birth like me, while others do not manifest till later." You nodded and took another sip. "What was that... electricity that came from your arm Mr. Joestar?" "It's called a Ripple. I can manipulate my energy through controlled breathing." "Why did Kakyoin attack Jotaro?" "He was a pawn for an enemy named Dio. That thing Jotaro's Stand pulled out of Kakyoin's forehead was a flesh bud. It's a clump if Dio's cells that manipulated Kakyoin to do his bidding." You glanced over at Kakyoin and saw the look of guilt on his face. "Who's Dio?" Everyone visibly stiffened. "To make a long story short kid, he killed my grandfather, is a vampire, and now he's back and is trying to kill us." Your eyes went wide. "Wait, did you say vampire?" "Yes." You nodded your head and took a slow sip from your drink as you processed everything. "He's not going to come after me, is he?" Jotaro shifted a little closer to you. "I'm not sure." You placed your cup down and slowly stood up. "Right, well.... thank you for answering my questions and for the kind hospitality but I really should be getting home." You bowed and went to leave but Jotaro grabbed your arm. "You're not leaving." You glanced down at your arm. "Not until we figure out what do with you." "With me?!" You looked up at him. "Old man, she knows about stands, ripple, and now vampires. We can't just let her go off and risk her telling everyone." "Hey! I wouldn't do that!" He didn't respond. "Maybe it would be good to just spend a night here so we can figure out what our next steps are." Joseph mussed before everyone looked at you. "I guess I don't have a choice. Can I at least call my mom?" Jotaro let go of you and you dashed from the room. You eventually found a house phone and dialed your house number; your mom picked up after the second ring. "(Y/N) (Y/L/N) where are you?! Do you know how worried I've been? I've-" You cringed and pulled the phone away from your ear until she was done. "I'm sorry, mama. I got held up at school and then I ended up going to a friend's house to study and I lost track of time." "Well are you on your way home?" You looked at the sky and saw that the sun was almost gone and it was much darker than when you got to the Kujo residence. "I was actually gonna ask if I could spend the night at their house? Their mom offered and I'll come home in the morning first thing." There was silence on the other end of the phone. "Okay. But I want you home first thing." You sighed in relief. "Okay. I'm sorry again, mama. I love you." "I love you too, (Y/N)." You hung up and wrapped your arms around you as you stared out at the sand garden. "What the hell have you gotten into, (Y/N)?" You whispered. You tucked a strand of hair behind your ear and rubbed your cheek. You heard someone clear their throat behind you; you turned and saw Jotaro leaning against one of the pillars. "Where you listening to my conversation?" "No. I just wanted to check on you. You were gone for a while." You smirked at him. "You're nicer than I thought you'd be." He stared at you. "Dinner's ready." Be adjusted his hat and started walking off. You followed after him and hoped he was going to wherever dinner was. "Did my mom take a look at your cuts yet?" You did a once over of your body but couldn't see anything. "No, but I don't think I've got anything wrong. You need to get your knee looked at though." "Hmph." You chuckled at his response before entering a room and seeing everyone around the table. "(Y/N)! I see Jotaro found you! What did your mom say?" You have a quick smile as you took a seat at one of the empty tables. "She said it was okay. I just need to go home first thing in the morning." "Oh! I'll have Jotaro get your room set up after dinner! And you seem around my size so you can borrow some of my clothes so I can wash your uniform!" You smiled at her. "Thank you so much. I really appreciate it." You replied before eating your food and once again letting your mind wander.
