August 9th. The date used to mean a lot to Spencer and her mother. The two of them would always go get ice cream and spend the day on the beach. But after the accident things changed. None of Spencer's foster families really bothered to remember it. Spencer just kind of forgot she had a birthday. There was no point in celebrating alone.Spencer peels her eyes open in the light that shines through her curtains. She narrows her eyes and turns away from the light, trying to go back to sleep. She hears her phone go off, but she ignores it and closes her eyes.

Tony is working in his lab on a new suit. He was so close to figuring out nanotechnology, he could feel it. Maybe if he asked Spencer if she could help... "Boss." Tony frowns as FRIDAY's voice cuts through his music. With a groan he leans away from his work. "What now? Fury want to send us on another mission?" The holo screen in front of him changes and reveals Spencer's file. "No, it's Spencer's birthday."
Tony freezes. His mind processes what was just told to him, then his eyes widen. "It's what?!" FRIDAY highlights Spencer's date of birth. "Her birthday sir. You tasked me with reminding you of any upcoming--" Tony shakes his head. "No that's not what I meant." He frowns. "Why didn't she tell me herself?" He looks down at his work and ponders for a moment, then he looks up. An idea sparks in his eyes. "FRIDAY, call everyone minus Spencer to the meeting. Call Underoos too."

When Peter got the message that Tony wanted him at the compound he almost fell off the skyscraper he was currently on. He was freaking out. Was there Avengers business? Was someone in danger? Was he going to take his suit away again?
"I'm here! I'm here!" Peter pants out of breath as he runs into the meeting room. Tony and the other Avengers give him looks, then Peter turns red. "Jeez. Calm down kid." Steve turns to Tony. "What's this about Tony?" Tony smiles and the hologram of Spencer's file appears. Peter becomes even more red. Had Mr. Stark figured out that he and Spencer were dating?
Tony smiles. "It's Spencer's birthday." He clarifies. Peter relaxes, then looks confused. How come Spencer didn't tell him? Natasha leans forward. "We throwing a party?" Tony nods, and gestures to all of them. "I need your guys' help to get it set up. We need someone on pizza, cake, decorations, and we'll need someone to keep her distracted." Wanda and Pietro stand. "We'll do decorations." Tony nods and Pietro speeds them both out of the room.
Natasha stands up. "I'll do the cake." She leaves the room, then Bucky, Steve, and Sam stand. "I guess we'll do pizza. Gives us an excuse to go into the city." Tony nods, then looks to the remaining group. Clint and Bruce stand. "We can get snacks." Clint is the best at birthdays, seeing as he has kids of his own so of course he would know the best birthday snacks.
Tony looks at Peter and raises an eyebrow. "You think you can keep her busy Underoos?" Peter nods furiously, and Tony gives him a suspicious look. "Alright. She usually sleeps in late so it should give you time to do your own thing for a bit." Peter nods and runs off. Tony looks down at the table and ponders what to give Spencer. He's never been good with giving gifts. Pepper was always the one that handled things. Wait, that's it! Pepper! Tony rushes out of the room, his phone to his ear.

Spencer sleepily walks into the kitchen and grabs a bagel from the fridge. When she closes the fridge door she is face to face with Peter. She jumps and holds her hand to her chest. He laughs, and she hits his arm, giving him a playful glare. "I came over to hang out." She raises an eyebrow and glances at the direction of Tony's lab. Peter notices and shrugs. "He's busy." She narrows her eyes at Peter, but shrugs and continues to make her bagel.
