Her lower lip trembled as many different thoughts were running through her head. The loudest one was telling her to run away. But she was still frozen with fear and shock. So she just continued staring towards the ground, but she could still feel his heated gaze on her. Cold sweat ran down the side of her face. As she tried to avoid his gaze. Even though he was gravely injured she was still wary of him.

He did after all kill his entire clan. Though he might have had an important reason to slaughter them, she couldn't think of a good enough reason for it. It would be even worse if he did it because he wanted to.

It was honestly a horrible and disgusting thing to do to someone's clan. She felt especially disgusted because she was a part of the Hyuga clan and eventually one day she would lead and protect her clan. And if she would ever fail to do so, she would feel extremely guilty and ashamed.

She knew that he was in a completely different league from her own. Even if he was injured she knew he would still be able to injure her and might even be able to permanently injure her.

Hinata took a deep breath, determination in her, and tried to calm her nerves. She took a small step forward, but when she did she could feel a spike in his chakra. But it left as soon as it came. He barely had any chakra left, less than before, and she could hear him breathing heavily.

She looked up for the first time since she saw him. He was sweating, he was too pale, and he was slightly shaking. Then his eyes rolled back and he fell unconscious. Hinata took cautious and slow steps toward Itachi's unconscious figure. When she got to where he lay she bent down and checked his body to see why he was in the state he is now. He had a couple of small cuts, burns, and bruises, but nothing that he couldn't handle. The real problem was his chakra exhaustion.

There was another thing wrong with him though. It was coming from his respiratory system, Hinata decided to look further into it and It was bad, really bad. It looked like it had been there for years and it had grown. She was surprised he was still alive, let alone be able to fight. Just thinking about how painful it had to have been to live with a disease like his and still fight made her internally shiver.

Still, she will admit his will to live was admirable, but he didn't seem like the type who was scared to die. Otherwise, he wouldn't be fighting at all. Hinata was slightly curious about the reason why he was still holding on. Then she saw something sticking out of his pocket. She grabbed it and unfolded it. It was a picture of Itachi and his younger Sasuke. It was at least a couple of years old, a little faded, and looked like it had been folded several times. But she could see it was well taken care of.

She slightly smiled, so that was his reason. Hinata was very understanding almost to a fault and that's why she knew It wasn't her place to kill him. If she did kill him, she would've disrespected what his clan would've wanted and although she didn't know Sasuke all too well she knew that he would be livid if she was the one who killed Itachi instead of him. And honestly, she couldn't really blame him for it, so she folded the picture back up and put it back in his pocket.

So she made a different decision, she would heal him to the best of her abilities, leave, and never tell anyone what she was about to do. And with that, she started healing his cuts, burns, and bruises, then transferred some of her chakra to him. Then Hinata started healing his illness as much as she could. First, she started healing any bacteria that was in his respiratory system, then his weak or broken blood vessels, next was his tissue, and finally his lungs. Though she couldn't heal all of it, she still healed a significant amount. If she would continue to heal him then over some time it would completely go away.

Another problem arose when she was healing him she noticed something unusual coming from where his eyes were. She decided to check it out. After she was finished she sighed and furrowed her eyebrows in thought. He was slowly going blind. He probably could only see blurs by this point. He most likely activates his Sharingan to see things. She couldn't help, but feel pity for him. She shook her thoughts away.
