"You don't need to be sorry. If your dad hadn't jumped in front of that bullet, I sure as hell would have. There's nothing I wouldn't do for you Em. Never forget that. But I'm here to listen and hold you, I'll always be by your side." He kissed my forehead, and I dug my face into the crook of his neck, his grip tightening on me.

   "Well, here goes nothing. It all started when..."

Quick Note: So this chapter is Emma basically telling her story about Noah, but it's going to be as if it's a flashback and she's there. When it comes back to reality of her and Andy I'll say it. Just so there's no confusion. Anyways enjoy!! Also a quick TW!! This chapter does contain rape. I will put in the chapter where it starts and ends so you don't have to read it if you don't want to.

I woke up to a knock on my door. In my groggy state I sat up and rubbed my eyes, stretching my arms in the air and yawning. "Come in," I said as my yawn ended. Sydney walked in slowly, trying to be quiet, food in her hand. I gave a grateful smile as she handed me the muffin, sitting on the edge of my bed. I ate the muffin under 5 minutes, Sydney and I letting out light giggles so mom wouldn't hear us.

"Slow down there. I think you set a new record." I laughed along with her.

"Is she up yet?" I asked. She shook her head at my question, confirming our mom was still asleep, me knowing well she was going to wake up in a bitchy mood with a bad hangover from being out drinking all night. I forced myself to get out of bed, trying to figure out what to wear for the day while having random conversations with Syd. I finished getting ready and we parted ways as she had to get ready and I had to make breakfast for mom. I ended up making an omelette with some potatoes and fruit. Right as I finished she came downstairs, pretty much as loud as humanly possible, if I might add. I was washing the dishes as she came into the kitchen and sat at the table where I placed her food. She looked at it and scowled, looking at me right after.

"What is this shit?" She asked, her hand motioning to the plate in front of her rather aggressively.

"It's an omlette with hashbrown potatoes and fruit, is something wrong?" I asked quietly, her tone made me nervous.

"This isn't what I wanted. This is disgusting you little brat are you trying to poison me?!" She yelled while throwing her plate across the room, food flying, glass shattering as it hit the wall. I flinched. She got up from her chair, shoving it back aggressively, and walking towards me, her face red like a tomato. I back up as she keeps walking towards me, already closing my eyes to brace for the impact bound to come. She first goes for my face, then my stomach and ribs. I curl up into a ball on the floor, blood dripping from my mouth as I clench my stomach in pain. "That's what you get. Don't get in wrong next time." she yelled in my face before she walked away. I stayed curled up on the floor for a while after she walked away until Syd came and helped me up, taking me upstairs to the bathroom inside my bedroom, cleaning me up.

"I'm sorry. Are you feeling ok?" She asked softly laced with worry. I nodded, even though I was still in a lot of pain. "We have to get going for school in a bit." She said, and walked to my door, leaving to get her self ready I assumed. I looked in the mirror, seeing bruises already forming on my face so I covered them up with makeup as best I could.

Getting in the car there was this silence thick enough to cut with a sharp knife. She tried turning up the radio just to have some noise so it didn't feel as awkward. After about a tense ten minute car ride we got to school. Syd got out and headed in the gates, but I sat in the car for a few minutes just trying to get a moment of peace before the chaos of high school. Taking one final deep breath I got out of the car and headed in myself.
