Today was finally here, my big début on the quidditch pitch the moment I had waited for since I first got to Hogwarts. The frigid tile made me shiver slightly, causing me to realize just how cold it was getting outside. I felt like I had just gotten off the train only a day ago but, realizing now it had almost been two months. The past few days of practice had been hell since Fred and George had hardly been around. I maybe only saw them after Gryffindor practiced that consisted of them making fun of me. I had even seen the boys staying back to watch us practice to which Malcolm Preece proceeded to kick them out for spying. As much as I love them sticking around to see how I'm improving, I knew they shouldn't be here. I got dressed into my robes, threw my hair back into a ponytail, and rushed down to breakfast.

I started grabbing as much food as I could, knowing I needed my strength for the match. I sighed slightly, seeing how many people weren't even in the Great Hall yet. I noticed that I was early for no apparent reason. I sat alone for a while, waiting for some other players to join me. The sky looked gloomy and dreadful, meaning it wouldn't be a fun match. Finally, a few of the guys started coming into the Hall over what our plan was for today. I listened intently to make sure what I had been practicing was what I needed for today. Fred walked past the table, sending me a slight wink, which made me almost choke on my pumpkin juice. I swear to Godric if I could hex him I would. We finished talking continuing to eat quickly. Once everyone was basically ready we headed down to the pitch, causing my nerves to become so much worse. I realized that if I wasn't good enough they wouldn't have picked me for the team. I just focused on what was important and the only thing that I needed to do was find the snitch. I stopped in my tracks when I heard someone coming up from behind me.

"Hey, Liz! I just wanted to wish you luck I know that I've been a foul git but I can tell you're more than capable of being a seeker." Fred said smiling touching my shoulder before running off. I just chuckled watching him as he rejoined his team.

The match wasn't even halfway through and I had almost been knocked off my broom. At one point Fred even helped me out by sending two bulgers towards my teammates. Of course, many Gryffindor's boo'd at him for not letting it hit me. As always, a wink directed towards me as he flew off again. I watched Harry shoot off causing me to follow him. The weather started changing as he flew higher and higher to which I decided to wait for him to come back down. I knew this could've made our chances of winning nonexistent but for some reason, I knew it wasn't safe. Just then I saw the snitch heading downwards causing me to chase after it. At this point, I was back toward the pitch to which I caught it smiling and flew down. Hufflepuff started going crazy but slowly shut up as Harry fell straight down off his broom. I instantly rushed to catch him but obviously failed. I had never felt worse in my life for catching the snitch and even told Malcolm we should have a rematch. Surprisingly he agreed and asked hooch who said we had won fair and square. I didn't even get to see Fred or George as they practically ran to the infirmary after Harry. What a win for Hufflepuff but what a shame on me. I felt awful walking back to the common room. Everyone was partying about the win and told me to join, which I declined, heading off to shower. The water was painfully hot for once but it helped bring me back to life.

For most of my afternoon, I sat in my room not even moving a muscle. The party outside was practically begging me to join. I decided I should go to visit Harry and apologize even if no one wanted to see my face. I grabbed my wand and fixed my still wet hair before heading down. I walked in to see Harry awake and surrounded by practically the whole team along with Hermione and Ron.

"Hey..." I said choking back tears unsure of why I wanted to cry so bad.
"Liz hey it's ok!" George said rushing over almost pulling me over to Harry.
"I asked for a rematch but we've been told no multiple times."
"But why? You won! Why aren't you celebrating with your house?" Harry said smiling
"I just felt guilty and I'm so sorry."
"Liz you're crying!" George said chucking as I wiped the few stray tears that escaped.
"I just haven't stopped I feel so guilty."
Fred walked over wrapping his arms around me while I continued crying into his shirt.
"I'm not a good quidditch player I think I should just quit" I mumbled crying even harder.
"No don't say that. We all know you have a big heart but we aren't mad. Just calm down, please? We all want you to still play and have fun with it." Fred stated while rubbing my back slightly.
"Alright...I'm still never going to stop saying sorry I hope you realize" I said chuckling slightly
"It's really fine I promise." Harry said with a slight smile on his face.

I walked to dinner not even feeling up to eat after today. I mainly picked around my plate hoping that today would come to an end faster. I would give nothing more than to sit with Fred right now but the strict rules of dinner always made no sense to me. Everyone continued to congratulate me and the team which I replied with a small smile. I knew it should've been something to be proud of but I just couldn't bring myself to feel that. I finished my dinner quickly remembering to grab a roll of bread before I headed out to the black lake. I made sure no one was following me as I sat down over by the bushes. I sat waiting for a good ten minutes until I heard the dog again.

"Hey, I'm sorry Fred scared you off last time. I got you some bread this time though, you look unhealthy for a dog your size." I said throwing a few pieces towards the dog, surprisingly he sat down waiting for more.

"I guess you are hungry I should've brought more." I smiled handing him some more and reaching to pet him which he gladly let me.

"We can be friends but first you need a name! I have a dog at home his name is Charlie so I'll name you Cooper." to which he growled.

"Ok, ok fine. I saw this cool name on the map that Fred and George have so how about Padfoot?" I chuckled as the dog calmed laying down next to me.

I stayed with Padfoot for a good hour petting him and letting him in on all the info in my life. As much as I knew how crazy I looked I often liked to talk to my dog, Charlie. Unlike him Padfoot felt as if he was actually listening and trying to reply. I eventually realized I had thirty minutes till curfew so I bid my goodbyes and started walking back to my common room.
