~~ SECOND CHATER!! Whooo! Enjoy, Comment, Vote, eat meatloaf xD

The walk to East High School was a bit long, not that I minded, because me and Jesse chatted most of the time. He seems like an overall great guy, but I felt guilty having these feelings even if they were very small, for a guy when I had Andrew. I would get to see him this weekend, me and Skylar had planned to sleepover at my house, since she was visiting her aunt in Chicago on Monday, she could spend the night on Saturday and Sunday, and leave Monday morning. Since Andrew is Skylar’s cousin, he’s coming along too, however he’s going to rent a motel or something.

My thoughts of my old Florida life were interrupted by a brown object spiraling towards Jesse and I. I recognized it as a football, and quickly caught it before it crashed into my face, Jesse looked impressed. Then a tall boy, with blonde hair, braces, and small freckles that sprinkled around his nose hustled over, I’m guessing the one who launched the football at me.

“Great catch babe” He shouted, “My names Erik, and yours?”

“Maggie and thanks for the near face injury Erik” I say sarcastically tossing the ball to him.

He smiles and wriggles his eyebrows, “Let’s see what you’ve got Baggie” he says, tossing me back the ball.

I ignored him as he pronounced my name “Baggie”. I was pretty comfortable with my football skills, my dad and I used to play catch all the time when I was younger. Erik runs further away from me and Jesse, I’d say he was about a pool’s length away from me. He gives me a thumbs up, and I drop my bag on the grass and smile at Jesse, who returns the gesture.

“Want any help” He offers, staring at the ball, then to Erik, and back at me again.

“That’s alright, I think I’ve got it” I wink, “Ready” I yell to Erik.

“Ready” he shouts back. I turn my body sideways and let my fingers trace over the laces of the ball, I position my hand near the end, take a deep breath, and launch it. It spirals perfectly into the air, and Erik leaps in the air and catches it, clutching it to his side. Success, I think to myself, I look over to Jesse who raises an eyebrow at me, looking shocked.

“Didn’t expect that did you” I laugh, picking up my bag from the ground, and heaving it over my shoulder.

“No, no I did not expect that at all” he exclaims “THAT WAS AMAZING!”

He lifts his hand up, and I slap it, grinning like a child. Erik runs over, out of breath, looking even more shocked then Jesse had. I cross my arms, and give a sly smile.

“Woa! Where the hell did that come from, Baggie” he yells.

I laugh, rolling my eyes as he said “Baggie”. He smiles at me and even more jocks come over. I receive high fives from all around.

“She’s a keeper J” says a boy with dark brown curly hair, he wraps his arm around me, and I blush.

“She’s not my girlfriend, Nate” he finally says, “I met her today, she’s from Florida”

Nate’s eyes bounce from me and Jesse, he smiles and tightens his arms around me. He looks down on me and winks, flashing his deep brown eyes, he has long eyelashes, that compliment them well.

“She’s not your girlfriend” he asks again, Jesse shakes his head, “Maggie’s fair game!” he yells.

I roll my eyes and shake off Nate’s arm, it’s kind of nice getting all this guy attention, but I have a boyfriend. I laugh along with the other boys.

“Besides I have a boyfriend” I say once the laughter has calmed. A round of “Oooh’s” from all the boys, as they look at Nate. Jesse just giggles, and Nate continues to laugh.

“Aww don’t be like that, Maggie” He says.

“Sorry Nate” I say nudging him with my arm. The bell sounds, and we all head towards the main doors. Jesse points me to the councilors office, and says “good luck”. I look around the room and see a pretty brunette, typing away on her keyboard.

“You must be Maggie Olsen” she says, pointing to a chair, “sit, sit”.

I settle into the comfy chair, and smile “Yes I’m Maggie, I was supposed to come in here, for my Locker information”.

She smiles and hands me a note card, “Locker number 1587, and the combination is on the card, we look forward to having you Maggie, I am the Councilor, Mrs. Ryan, feel free to come to me with any problems that arise in the future, you will be a great addition to East High School, I can just tell”. I bet she says that to every student.

“Thank you very much, Mrs. Ryan” I say rising from my chair.

“If you move quickly you can get to class on time, if not here’s a pass, just in case” she holds out a green slip, and smiles. I nod and hurry to my locker, I find it rather quickly, and put in the combination, written neatly on the card “12-34-28”, the lock releases, and I see Jesse from the corner or my eye going into his first hour, which is also mine. I grab a spiral, folder, and my pencil case, and lock my locker, slipping my information into my back pocket. I walk into class, on time and sit in an empty desk behind Jesse.

“You survived” he said smiling.

“I am a fighter” I said copying his sarcastic tone. He laughs and turns around facing the teacher in the front of the room. The bell sounds, and the man in front of the room, clears his throat.
