Chapter 8

**Sorry for being so late on the updating, Swimming has been hectic, but it ends in 3 days so I will have more free time to write. It's a longer one, so I hope you enjoy it! For the rest of the day I stay at home all day in my yogas. I had invited Claire over, but she said she was busy. I have now finished watching all 3 Toy Story movies, also known as the reason for my existence. I look on the other side of the couch and see Niall curled up in a ball, keeping my feet warm. I decide not to wake him, so I flip through channels, settling on MTV, Teen Mom was on.

I hear a sharp scream, and the couch moves slightly backward. Niall is now under the blanket facing the back of the couch, with a disgusted look on his face. I glance at the TV seeing that one of the moms has just given birth, whoops. I instantly unfold into uncontrollable laughter, I can't believe I didn't notice he woke up, poor little boy. I sit up and pat his back, changing the channel to Cartoon Network.

"You okay Niall" I say, still with a huge grin on my face.

"NOOOOO!" He screams.

"You won't tell mom will you" I ask him, a little worried.

A devilish grin spreads across his face. I now realize what an idiotic thing I just said. I squint and glare at him, hoping to intimidate him. Epic fail.

"I think some ice cream would keep me quiet...." He smiles.

"Deal" I agree, shaking his hand "What about Friday Ni?"

"Can that guy come too?" he asks.

"Umm... I don't think so Niall, he's a pretty busy guy" I say, knowing Jesse wouldn't wat to spend his Friday night with me and my brother.

"Then no deal" He releases his grip, and crosses his arms.

"You're kidding me." I say "Just like that, you give up ice cream".

"Fine" I cave

Niall and I wait inside Baskin Robins, for Jesse to arrive. He seemed really excited to come, maybe it was just because of Niall, probably. Niall kicks the table legs impatiently, so I nudge him with my elbow, glaring at him.

A tall Jesse appears in the doorway of Baskin Robins, he takes of his sunglasses, flips his hair to the side, and smiles at me. He strides over, confidently, I wonder if he practices this walk, it was so perfect, everything he did seemed perfect, no, just shut up Maggie...no! I try to look as cute as possible, pushing my hair back and smiling back. I most likely looked like some sort of freak, bearing my teeth like an animal of some kind. I feel like I have to impress this kid, with whatever I do, and I've never been one to care about what others think of me, but Jesse was different.

He pulls out a chair and sits across from me, and gives Niall a high five. Perfect. Jesse looks up at the mural on the wall, biting his lip. Perfect. He smiles at me again. God damn your perfection.

"Thanks for inviting me" He says to me, flicking his hair again.

"Niall refused to go without you" I laugh, scruffling Niall's hair.

"Well I'm flattered either way, let's get ice cream now" He grabs Niall's hand and takes him to the counter. I follow behind them, loving this moment. Jesse pushes me forward, resting his hand on the small of my back, motioning me to order. His pulls his hand away, at taps his fingers on the counter window.
