After falling asleep with Fredrick sprawled across me, getting absolutely no sleep last night, I decided I needed some type of coffee and that I should call Finn back. He said he wanted to meet me in the Starbucks, at Barnes and Nobles, I agreed and started changing. I wanted to look semi-cute so I found a snug fitting long sleeve v-neck in the color mint, and a threw a pair of jeans, along with my grey Toms I bought last weekend. I looked at myself in the mirror and grabbed my Columbia, and black scarf.

I knew I had a long walk so I took along a granola bar. Surprisingly no one tried to talk to me as I stepped outside, smiling to myself, I untangled my ear buds and put them in, One Direction came on, whoever wrote Kiss You must have wanted girls to fangirl over it, as I was trying so hard not to. I kicked around some leaves and checked the time, it read 10:00, I have about an hour to kill. I keep walking in the direction of the mall, watching out for raised sidewalks.

“Maggie!” Finn yells running across the store towards me.

“Finn!” I yell back running to meet him with a hug. He holds me tightly, and twirls me around. I laugh at what a goof he is being.

“You look nice” He says wiggling his eyebrows, I push him playfully.

“I’m starving” I say walking to the counter, I really wasn’t in the mood for coffee, I thought I was but I ended up ordering a hot chocolate and a cakepop. They called our names and we approached the counter again. The boy behind the counter was really cute, he had blonde hair that swept across his forehead, which flattered him. I grabbed my drink and bag from him, and he winks at me. I smile, looking at my nails. I pay him and he smiles wide at me.

“Enjoy your Starbucks” he says genuinely, “Look at your cup”.

I glance at  my hot cocoa and see a telephone number written neatly below my name, I blushed, giggling awkwardly.

“Call me sometime Maggie” He says, winking at me again. Well this was a great start to my day off.

“I will, and your name is…” I paused.

“Casper” he replies, “not the friendly ghost”.

“It’s cute, Casper” I say “See you around”. I do my best not to squeal and do a little happy dance, which is a lot harder than you may think. I lost sight of Finn and look for him around the bookstore. I see him sitting in the armchair, looking annoyed as he sips from his straw.

“You left me” I pout sitting on the step next to him.

“Looks like you had some company” he says, his mouth forming a straight line, as he stares straight ahead of him. Was he jealous? He can’t be..

“Oh please, the boy behind the counter?” I lie, “As if” I snort. I open up the bag and begin chowing down on my cake pop, delicious. I notice Finn has loosened up, but his foot is still tapping rather quickly.

“What did he do, give you his number on your drink” He smiles, laughing.

“Acually, yep” I say “All ten digits, to a certain blonde haired cutie named Casper” I add sarcastically, even though I am drop dead serious.

“You are a piece of work Maggie” he says, still annoyed. “Hey so, you never called me back last night, did anything happen with the douchebag?”.

I look down, fighting back tears. I play with my fingers, twisting them and un twisting them, over and over.

“Maggie?” He asks, waiting for a reply. He realizes that a tear is about to slip out of my eye, so he gets up and sits down next to me. I let him wrap his arms around me and I lay my head in the crook of his neck. The tear falls, and another one soon drips down my face. I hate crying, but this week has been rough, I’m not going to lie.

“I’ll kick his ass” He says into my hair, “I will you know”.

I let a laugh escape my lips, a sad laugh. He squeezes my waist and I continue to cuddle into his chest.

“Just don’t kill him” I say.

            “Why not?” he asks.

Unable to come up with a response to that question I just nod sadly.

“Never mind, kill him” I smile.

“Tell me what happened Maggie” He says stroking my back, trying to comfort me.

“He butt dialed me” I start “While he was macking on another girl, and he has the nerve to call and ask for a second chance, like he deserves a second chance. Asshole”

Finn pulls me swiftly onto his lap and gives me a hug. I hug him back as he laughs. I quickly pull away.

“And what was so funny about that?” I ask, standing up.

“You look like a puppy when your sad” He says getting up as well. “It’s cute”.

I blush as I smile up at him, why was he acting so strange. It was almost as if he liked me…

“I’ve gotta go Finn, thanks for being there for me” I say reaching for a quick hug.

The moment he wraps me in his arms, he locks me in a tight bear hug. After a few seconds I attempt to pull away, but he tightens his hold on me.

            “Uhh…Finn?” I ask.

            “Hmmm?”

            “Can you let me go?”

            “No”

            “I can’t breathe”

            “Fine”

He finally releases me and I head towards my house, it’s so quiet without Finn around. I feel like someone is following me, so I snap my head around, nothing but grass. I continue to walk but the feeling still lingers.

I decide on a master plan, I pick up a walnut off the ground, pretend like I am examining it and chuck it over my shoulder.

            “OWW” Someone yells.

I laugh and turn around, seeing Finn holding his eye.

“WHY THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT?!” He yells, hand to his face.

“Why were you following me” I ask, slightly amused.

“I wanted to see how long it would take for you to notice me. It was about 2 minutes, congrats there Maggie” He announces, applauding with one eye shut.

“Wanna leave me alone now?” I ask him, kind of annoyed.

            “No” He winks.

I begin walking away, a little faster, but he runs and catches up. I realize I have nowhere to go now. This will be a great walk home. (Note Sarcasm)
