It was a cold morning and the sky was brittle blue. Winter was still up in February and yet Miyagi's train station were buzzing with people. Iwaizumi walked past dozens of them off to work or school, trains hissing as they move. His hands were stuffed his jacket's pockets. He sighed, and looked to his side where Kuroo stood. The ravenette actually skipped classes because he was 'too smart' to give a damn. He insisted to accompany his friend all the way to Miyagi.
Kuroo was listening to some kind of rock music, banging his head and mumbling lyrics that were beyond Iwaizumi's knowledge. People around them gave their weirdest look. He was unnecessarily loud.
Iwaizumi pulled one cord of the earphone, glaring at the taller guy.
"You look and sound dumb. Stop singing," he complained.
Kuroo rolled his eyes. "I'm smarter than you." He snatched the cord from Iwaizumi's hand and continued jamming to his music.
"Well, whatever," Iwaizumi murmured as he fished for his phone in his pockets. He checked for messages but there was none except for his mom saying that he should enjoy the night at Tokyo. Apparently, Kuroo already asked permission before he 'stole' Iwaizumi.
Iwaizumi sighed. He texted Oikawa last night but the brunette didn't respond which was weird. He assumed that maybe his boyfriend was forced to do bible study with his mom. He hoped so.
"Hey, Kuroo where the hell are you heading?!" he yelled at his friend who was obviously not focused and went to the opposite direction.
Kuroo did not heard him, obviously.
So, he ran towards him in frustration, pulling him to Aoba Johsai's direction. The other guy laughed when he saw Iwaizumi's scowl.
"I'm going to be late," he groaned.
"Finals are over, what's with the hurry?"
Kuroo was grinning and God knows how much Iwaizumi wanted to wipe that from his face.
"I still need to meet with the counselor, you know career stuffs."
The ravenette stopped on his tracks and turned to face his friend. "Wait, you won't play volleyball anymore?"
"I don't know. Still can't decide but honestly, I want a break," Iwaizumi revealed, fiddling with the hem of his uniform. "But Oikawa still wanna play so-"
He stopped. He knew that Kuroo was too smart to figure it out. They started to walk again, passing through a group of students laughing.
"So you're torn, huh?" Kuroo continued his sentence. "You know what, you should decide on your own. Do it or you'll regret it for the rest of your life. Bro, Oikawa would know that. He should." He arched his brow.
"Yeah, actually I'm planning to tell him but we still have a lot of things to deal with." Iwaizumi sighed, his breathe was foggy due to the cold.
"Oh I wasn't informed that his mom is a thing now."
"Funny," Iwaizumi scoffed.
He looked up at Aoba Johsai's gate sign and then tilted his head.
"Hey, you really coming with me or?" He pointed at the school's building.
"Can I go to your house instead? I don't want girls swooning over me," Kuroo chuckled, brushing his bed head with his fingers but it still came back as what it used to be.
"In your dreams." Iwaizumi tucked his tongue out as he headed inside, leaving his friend complaining.
"Hey! Grab me some hot choco when you get home," Kuroo yelled.
Iwaizumi just waved his hand dismissing him.
He entered the building and grabbed his own pair of shoes to be used inside, you know for cleanliness stuff. He coughed, the cold bothered him so he hurriedly put on his shoes. There was another cough. When he turned to see who was it, a finger flicked on his forehead.
"Ow, what was that for?" he groaned and rubbed his forehead.
"Where have you been, dipshit?" Matsun asked, hands on either side of his waist.
"It's a long story," he said as he walked inside, avoiding the chill from the entrance.
Matsun followed him. "Well it better be a good reason because Oikawa has been bitching on us. He won't talk and he looked sick. Honestly, you two are a pain," he complained. He dramatically held his head with his right hand, pertaining that he was stressed out.
"What? What happened to him?" Iwaizumi worried, glancing at his friend.
"Ask him, dumbass. He seemed upset with you, staying at your ex's home."
Iwaizumi's eyes widened. "Kuroo is not my ex, dumbass. He is my childhood friend."
"Okay?" Matssun arched his eyebrow, not believing him.
The ace scoffed.
"Now, don't be like that and go to your bitch before anything worse happens," Matsun said, shooing his friend away.
Iwaizumi stepped inside their classroom. His classmates were playing around, some were talking. He scanned the room and stopped when he saw the brunette, head slumped on his desk.
When he was in front of him he lightly tapped Oikawa's head. But to no avail, the brunette seemed to be on his period. He had been ignoring everyone. Iwaizumi tried again and Oikawa snapped, swatting his hands away.
"Matssun I swear if you keep-" his voice trailed off, eyes widening. "on bothering me..." he continued slowly.
Iwaizumi raised his brow. "Surprise?"
"What are you doing here, cheater?"

Author:
I tried so hard to write descriptive sentences, like their actions, the weather, the place and others but it's so hard. And my words are redundant, I'm internally screaming. Anyways, if anyone is really reading this, can you suggest a title? I'm not satisfied with the current one so I'm asking you (if ever there's anyone who cares). I'd love it if it really suits the whole plot. Comment down below onegaiii, for the love of iwaoi lmao. That's all thanks!
