Ben's POV

The angry wife really comes to my coffee shop. "Where is she?!!" She drags a man with him. Probably on their early 50's.

I smile politely. "Good morning... and you are...?"

"Kuza family! Cut the bullshit and bring the bitch in front of me!"

I smiled. "Owh, Mrs. Kuza? You must be Mr. Kuza." I left the counter and walk to meet them closer. "Thank God I finally met you. Lien just said that she got help in the best timing and I am glad I can pay you back just in time. I would like to thank you personally but she is yet to settle our meeting."

The wife frowns hard. "Huh??!!!" She turns to her husband.

I wink at him. Code him that I got this like how he needs me to.

"Err... like she said, honey... I gave my card because her boyfriend needs help." The husband says.

"I upgrade the oven, Mrs. Now the muffin feels like home." I say. "Would you sit and let me prepare a brunch for you? ... warm drink and muffin in the morning. What do you like? Chocolate or almond?"

"Uh...."

I touch lightly on the back of her palm. "Can I?" I ask.

"Hm?"

Oh please, I know I'm so freakin' handsome. "It's not everyday I got to meet the lady that save my live." I take her hand and peck on the back of her hand.

I can see her blushed and then follows my lead to sit and enjoy a nice breakfast.

"Would you team up with me?"

Aaannnd, that's what Lien says when she drop by for lunch and I get her order on the table.

Yeah, I decide to take her order myself and regret it right after.
Sigh.
I put my pen and the notebook and then sit across her.

I am almost 40 and I believe she will be too since Beam is in his third year of highschool, so I don't want a highschool game right now.
She needs some scoldings.

"Ren! I am taking a break!" I say to my floor manager.

He nods and sends a waiter to our table.

"Steak sandwich, please." I say. "And a cup of black coffee."

The waiter nods and then she turns to Lien.

"Hm... Cappuccino and almond cookies." She says.

And then silence after the waiter is gone to place the order.

"Divorced?" I ask.

She nods. "He left me for another woman when my son was 13 months old." She smiled thinly. "Why?"

"... then you should not breaking another marriage." I say.

She laughs. "Yeah... what can I say... I was just being friendly. Ask them, I didn't sleep with them, not even holding hands. Just talk."

"Like this?"

"Hm." She nods while smiling teasingly.

"And they gave you their black cards?"

She chuckled and bites her lower lip. "I need money."

I chuckled too. "You are a spoiled little bitch."

Lien winks at me. She smiled thinly. "What about you?"

I shrug. "Single and busy."

"Never married?"
