"So how bad was it?" Izzy asked from the passenger seat of my car.
"It was not bad per say," I ventured, " more interesting," I smiled thinking about the boy, "but not terrible."
"I told you," she laughed as we pulled back into the school.
"I never want to have to go back though," I said making my way into the building.
"Well seeing as it was the first time you've ever been I think it might be safe to say you won't be going back anytime soon."
"I sure hope so," I laughed.
English proved that everything was back to normal. Mr. Andrews gave me a new date to do my presentation because there were so many people who did not have theirs ready. No one pushed me down in the halls, I got the usual nods of respect as I made my way to my classes, the world had put itself back in the right position, or so I thought.
"Why is Mason Blake staring at you?" Izzy whispered as I took a bite of my tuna sandwich.
"Huh?" I asked with a full mouth, not very lady like I know.
"Mason Blake is staring at you," she nodded her head off to the left where I found sea foam eyes watching me with a bemused smile.
"Oh him," I turned back to her, unaware that I was grinning.
"Yes him," she smiled. "I didn't even know you knew him."
"I don't know him," I said truthfully, wiping my mouth. "He is the one who knocked into me yesterday, we talked during detention," I threw a glance over my shoulder at him. "Who is he?"
"Senior, just like us," she sighed.
"Really?" I turned back to her confused. "I thought I knew everyone in our class."
"You obviously don't," she laughed. "He used to hang with your brother though, so I really don't understand how you have never met him before."
"He hangs out with Alex?"
"No," she denied, "they were friends for like ever, but then something happened and he stopped coming around. Seriously Adds he's been to your house."
"You're kidding right?" I was shocked to say the least.
"Nope, he was at the party your brother threw last halloween" she smiled at me again, "you know the one you refused to go to."
"Stop it," I slapped her arm playfully.
"Well I never thought I'd see the day that an angel hit someone," I rolled my eyes even though my insides were clenching.
"Well stick around and you might be my next victim," I turned around to smile up at him.
"Is that an invitation?" his eye brow cocked up at me and I flushed.
"No," I shook my head to bring back my normal complexion.
"Do angels not sit with clumsy asinine Neanderthals?"
"No we do not," I affirmed, but he slid into the seat next to me anyway.
"How have you been Izzy?" he asked across the table to my gaping best friend, I laughed at her.
