"President Li, Miss Xu's cellphone is turned off."
Li Yu frowned and used his own cell phone to make a call. Sure enough, there was no response.
What's Xu Jiaojiao thinking?!
"President Li, since we can't contact Miss Xu through the phone, what should we do now?" The new assistant's expression was anxious.
Li Yu tapped his phone. "Keep calling until she turns on her phone. You're going to be her assistant, so you have to be the first to know her whereabouts."
"Got it, President Li."
"If you manage to get through, tell her that her phone must be on 24/7!"
The little assistant left the office and found somewhere to call. An hour passed, but the phone was still turned off.
She was bored senseless and went to browse the internet.
Huh?
Huhh??
Huhhh???
The little assistant took her phone and ran to President Li's office. Because of her ID, she wasn't blocked from approaching.
Knock knock! The little assistant gasped for breath in front of the door.
"Please enter."
"President Li, I know where Miss Xu is!" The little assistant's voice was filled with excitement.
Li Yu raised his head and saw the excited assistant, "Did your call get through?"
"Uh...it didn't." The little assistant shook her head. "But, on the internet, I found out where Miss Xu is."
"On the internet?" Li Yu's eyes widened.
The little assistant hurried to show Li Yu her cell phone and pointed at the words on the screen. "Somebody at the airport saw Miss Xu with Lina."
Li Yu supported his forehead. That girl really didn't act with common sense.
He waved the little assistant away and made a call.
"Boss, Miss Xu has left the country."
"What's wrong with you? You don't want the money?"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I've been trying my hardest to dig up Xu Jiaojiao's weak points..."
"What do you mean, you're trying your hardest to dig up Xu Jiaojiao's weak points? Don't tell me she doesn't have any?" the one speaking smiled angrily.
"I'm not saying she has no weak points, but we need to find a weak point that we can take advantage of; a fault that can make everybody hate her. I'm a hater, but I'm also a hater with brains."
"Haha!"
"What does that 'haha' of yours mean?"
"Don't say that kind of nonsense with me. If you still want the money, then hurry up and think of a way. I don't care how you do it, I just want to see the results."
The man was smoking when he was hung up on and spat on the ground angrily, using the mouse as he continued to complain, "I hate him! I hate him so much!"
He was writing an article with the latest entertainment gossip that he'd specially curated, malice hidden within every line.
He was just about to publish it when the computer abruptly went black.
"F*ck your grandfather!"
He didn't even pay attention to the cigarette slipping from his lips as he prayed desperately that the editor had auto saved his work. However, when the computer rebooted, it was all empty, so he had to completely restart...
The key points were...he rewrote it and was just about to publish it when the computer suddenly broke again.
"What the hell!?" The man hugged the computer. "Darling, what happened to you?"
Somewhere else, a person smiled as he sent a text: Mission accomplished.
Very quickly, there was a reply: Thank you, Senior. I'll treat you some time.
He smiled and typed back: It'll be a good time tomorrow since you're going back to school. We can go out and eat together.
The reply: Alright, see you tomorrow.
His lips lifted as he replied: See you tomorrow.
