Since he had been in student council during middle school, getting up early and leaving early were nothing new for Ritsu. What was new was getting up early and leaving early on an empty stomach. He had properly planned out his morning, from when he would get up to when he would eat. Unfortunately for him, the latter part fell through when he opened the fridge to found it completely empty. At least that explained why Teruki had them eat out so much but now he had to go out and find a place to eat within the next thirty or so minutes.

The heat of the sun made Ritsu begin to regret not just heading straight for school. It was an unusually hot day and the blazer of the UA uniform made him feel as though he were trapped in a sauna. His hands were itching to remove his tie but he knew that if he did he would never be able to tie it as nicely as Teruki had.

He wasn't interested in fast-food but he wanted something quick and light. Something that wouldn't be hard to eat and that he could quickly dispose of.

"Would you like some cotton candy?"

'Perfect.'

Ritsu halted his stride to turn and face a man standing behind a cotton candy stand. He wore a dark cap that cast a shadow over his face but Ritsu could see his blue hair flared out in the back.

Candy wasn't optimal breakfast food, it wasn't even food, but it was something. If he didn't take this he doubted that he would find anything else.

"Yeah actually," he took off his blue backpack and grabbed his extremely light wallet. "How much?"

He could see the man smile as he said, "107 yen*."

Ritsu gave him the money and the man reached forward to hand him one of the blue clouds. When the man leaned back his shirt or something must have snagged onto the cart because the next thing Ritsu knew the whole stand fell over.

The man let out a small yelp and quickly fell to the floor to pick up the knocked over candy. He grabbed them in a dainty fashion, one pinky up and gathered them in his arms. However, his arms quickly became too full and he couldn't carry anymore.

Ritsu squatted down next to him and asked the man if he needed any help. He was given a slight nod in response and Ritsu stood with his cotton candy tucked under one arm and pushed the cart back up.

He turned back to see the man throwing the rest of the candy away. It was a shame but at least he didn't look too bothered about it.

The man walked back to the righted stand and sighed. "Well I'm done for the day then." He turned to Ritsu and reached his hand forward and plucked something off of the teen's belt. Ritsu looked at him incredulously, disturbed by the lack of personal space.

"Relax," the man said as he lifted his hand to show what he held between his two fingers, "there was a piece of cotton candy on you."

"Oh, well thanks," Ritsu mummered. Slightly embarrassed, he quickly left the stand and continued on his way to school which, surprisingly, wasn't that far away.

Even though he had already been there, he couldn't help but gaze at the overwhelming size of the school. Everything was so well maintained and it looked more like a business than a school. From the keycard he needed to enter to the tall windows that reminiscent of an office building.
