Echo's POV
January 19th, Thursday

My eyes squint into slits as I glare at Kai. He really thinks that that's ok? Oh boy! You better watch your back. Cause we Short kids don't back down from anything!

"Don't let it fall, Kai~!" I sing out. Kai glares at me as he pulls the wooden piece out of the Jenga tower. He carefully lays it on top. He sighs in relief as the tower stays up straight.

"Well played. But if I see that other hand come up to help again, I will bite it off!" I say sweetly while batting my eyelashes. Kai looks at me terrified.

Kai woke me up at 8 AM with his whining cause he was bored. I told him to suck it and go back to bed, but he just whined more. We ended up playing board games after that.

The microwave timer beeps, signaling the contents inside are done. Hopefully... I get up from the floor, walking over to it, and opening it to take out the leftover noodles we made yesterday for dinner. I put them on two separate plates before walking back over to Kai and handing him his plate. He grabs it while saying thank you.

"I gotta take a shower after I'm done eating. So no whining!" I say while glaring playfully at him. He throws his hands up in surrender with a faint smile on his lips.

"Yes ma'am!" He salutes. I roll my eyes with a chuckle.

Suddenly the same beeping sound from Sunday goes through the speakers. I look at Kai with my eyes wide. His face shows hope just like mine.

"Hello, students of Clover University! This is your Dean, Mr. Howard speaking. We would like to inform all our students and staff that are currently stuck in and out of the University, that we should have the problem fixed by the upcoming Sunday! Again, we apologize for the problems caused." The speakers again make a beeping sound before going silent once again.

I look at Kai who has the same look as me: disappointment. (Pretty sure that's like the first time I've used that correctly :) )

"Well then..." Kai sighs out disappointedly.

I get up after finishing my noodles. I grab some sweats from the bin by my bed, along with an oversized black hoodie that hits at my mid-thigh, and fuzzy purple socks. I walk into the bathroom, shutting the door behind me. I turn the shower on to a lukewarm water. I begin stripping away my clothing. I toss the clothing into a little basket by the shower.

I stick my hand in the shower, satisfied by the temperature. I get in, closing the curtain behind me.

I wrap the towel around my hair as I apply an even layer of shea butter on my lips and cheeks. I finish drying my hair: throwing it up in a bun. I know that's stupid to do since it's still wet, but I honestly don't care.

I open the door and walk into the space between Izzy and I's bed. I don't pay attention as a body trips and lands with him and me on the ground. His body pressed on top of mine. I groan as I pull a Jenga block out from under my back.

I look at Kai who has a sheepish smile on his face.

"Sorry, I tripped... You ok?" He asks. I raise my eyebrow at him.

"I will be once you get off me." I smile brightly. He looks at me a bit longer before a smile breaks out onto his face. My face scrunches in confusion.

"I don't think I wanna get up! I'm quite comfortable like this!" He smirks and winks at me. My mouth opens from shock.

I glare lazers into him as I slowly bring my hands up to his side, in the perfect position: I begin tickling him. He lets out a girly shriek as he stands up quickly from on top of me.
