CHAPTER FIVE

"Kung pano mo nagawang di tayo patalsikin sa trabaho. May tinatago ka ba sakin, Belle?"

Napakunot ang noo ko sa sinabi niya at biglang tawa. Napag desisyonan naming mag tambay sa sala since di pa kami masyadong inaantok but I couldn't believe na ganito na sa tanungan.

"Hala? Gago, nagtatanong ako" asik niya na mas lalong nagpatawa sakin. But her question made me want to vomit at the moment. What kind of question was that?

"Are you freaking serious Lyrelle? Am I being suspicious to you?" She's my friend after all but being questioned like that was so surreal.

"Hindi! Parang nagtatanong lang! Ma issue ka naman eh!"

"I am not hiding anything to you and besides we should respect each other privacy right?" I smiled and went inside our room. I'm done for tonight. I'm being questioned by my bestfriend and I find it weird and it hurts me at the same time.

I lay on the bed and close my eyes immediately. I am not mad, I'm just dissapointed. Even though it means no harm for asking question, I find it offensive.

I heard the door opened sign that Lyrelle come in.

"Hoy, day? Galit ka ba sakin? Sorry na oh" nahiga siya sa tabi ko at kinalabit pa ako.

"Sorry na. Na offend ka ba? Nagtatanong lang naman ako eh!"

"Sumisigaw ka? Sumisigaw?" Asik ko sa kanya. Ngumiti siya na pati gilagid ay kita kayat ngumiwi ako.

"Hindi. Sorry na"

"Ayoko"

"Ma attitude ka 'te? Attitude?"

"Sus"

"Hala, grabeng sinusuyo to"

"Matulog ka na nga"

"Di mo pa ako pinapatawad" nakanguso niyang saad ng titigan ko. Natawa ako ng malaswaan.

"Ang laswa naman!"

"Grabe ka naman!"

"Tsk. Ge na, matulog ka na. Okay lang"

"Okay lang o okay na lang?"

"Ikaw yung ma issue dyan Lyrelle. Matulog ka na"

"Hindi ka galit?"

"I am not. Let's sleep. Tomorrow will be our big day, remember?" I told her. She nodded and lay beside me putting her arms widely in my stomach.

"Goodnight mana day"

"Night"

It may be blurry description in terms of my family but I know that I am not hiding anything special. I am just ordinary but asking and questioning my existence will somehow offensive. Totoo o hindi, people should be considerate. Di tayo pare pareho ng nararamdaman at mararamdaman.

There's no harm in asking question but be cautious with our words. Not everyone commits mistake and not everyone accept the truth. Not everyone likes to be question and not everyone are mindful.

"Here are the papers, Belle" Manager Oh gave me the papers needed for the exchange transaction.

"Be there for a couple of months. You're with Lyrelle naman so I guess, wala na tayong problema?" I glanced at Lyrelle and she just gave me a serious look.

"Until when are we going to stay there po?" I asked. Manager Oh looked behind me and let out a heavy sigh before answering.

"Until our visitors leave"

"When are they going to leave?"

"No one can tell"

"How 'bout Jonas? Where is he?" I asked again. In that, I heard the door open and Jonas come in.
