Chapter 29

 At the base

"Welcome home." Evie smiled rushing towards him and jumping on him "Welcome home."

"Oi lovebirds." Clay teased earning a playful slap from Elara

"Thanks for coming to the rescue." Street told them

Jason POV:

"Oi don't go making it a habit aye!"Nick called out

"Yea can't be dragging our asses down all the time." Marco teased welcoming him back

Street went to greet Elara pulling her into a hug and whispering

"Thank you."

She smiled letting him go as he stepped back to Evie

Valentina was quick to get her sons and daughter back

"Separate anxiety?" Astrid asked

"Major." Valentina confirmed with a smile as she held him with the two kids sitting beside her "How did you do it 3?"

"Huh?" Clay asked looking up from his phone "Sorry was someone talking to me?"

"How did you deal with being seperated from 1 and the kids?" Astrid asked

"Oh umm... I was going back and forth so I tried to at least visit once while I was there and if I wasn't I'd face time them as much as a could." He replied "Honestly I couldn't be away from them for more then 2 months so I had to go back and forth."

"And we had to build up to 2 months." Elara replied "At first it was like an hour and then we we're done and had to go back."

"Did you hate being seperated?"

"I hated it more known that she was still in the war while I was state side training."

"So why didn't you bring them back with you?" Blackburn asked

"I wanted to but she was happiest there being able to do something about the on going conflict and if I forced her back she wouldn't have been happy." Clay replied "Our relationship works because we have an open line of communication no one tries to be the hero and go it alone and we relay on each other."

"Alright let's make our move." Elara replied "40 you'll front."

"Got it." She replied

Everyone rushed to change again

Buck, Marco and Nick changed quickly into suits while Bianca changed into a black dress with a leather jacket hanging around her shoulder

"Make sure you remember you cover story." Astrid advised as she finished the last touches for her makeup before moving to Marco "And as for you remember to come back this time huh?"

"Of course." Marco smiled as he let her fix his cuffs and his collar while he finished checking his gun "Hey, this'll be easy, we get the job done then we go home to the kids."

She sighed but put on a fake smile for him and agreed

"Hey no fake smiles, it'll be okay."

"Plus he has us backing him up." Buck replied

"That's what concerns me." She commented dryly "You don't have anyone else backing you and there is only 4 of you going out."

"We've got this." Bianca replied

At the bar

Bianca walked in on Nick arm while Buck and Marco were just a bit behind her scanning the area

"Mr Nolan, I pressume?" Bianca started

"Mrs Eliza." He greeted gesturing to the chair in front of him "So what can I help you with?"
