I got the idea for this book whilst I was listening to the song Everlong by Foo Fighters.
"If everything could ever feel this real forever.
If everything could ever feel this real again.
The only thing I'll ever ask of you,
You gotta promise not to stop when I say when.
She sang!" You sang along with the words of your dad's and your favourite song, Everlong.
"What did she sing though?" Your dad, Tony interrupted.
"Dad. We have been asking each other the same question ever since we first heard this song. Maybe it's just time to let it go and just enjoy the song." You sighed.
"I've had a think, and why don't we go and visit Dave Grohl and ask him what she sang?" He suggested.
"Dad. There really is no need. That would just be weird." You stated annoyed.
"I was joking." He said giving you a gentle nudge.
"Anyway, what happened to AC/DC?" You asked. He used to absolutely adore that band, but now he rarely listened to them.
"You happened to my music taste actually. I started listening to the songs that you listen to and it changed my opinion on the Foo Fighters." He responded.
"Fair enough." You said.
"THIS IS AMAZING!" You yelled over the roar of the crowd.
"I KNOW!" He shouted back in response.
Once the concert had finished, yours and Tony's V.I.P tickets came in handy once again. You used them to go and see the band backstage. "H-hi." You stammered. They were your idols and you never thought that the day that you finally get to meet them would arrive. Yet here you were.
"Hello young lady." Dave said. "First time at a concert?"
"Uhm... Yeah." You replied.
"Thank you for coming." He said happily.
"Mr. Grohl." Tony started.
"Why? It is the famous Tony Stark. How can I help you sir?" He questioned.
"My daughter and I have been asking each other this ever since we both heard your song Everlong; what does the line "She sang!" mean?" He asked finally.
"It is a metaphor meaning that she joined in with our band for a while." Dave responded.
"Thank you." You and your dad said in unison.
"Give me all your money!" A teenage murderer demanded, pointing a gun in Tony's face.
"No! Pick on someone your own size!" You ordered, defending your dad.
"(Y/N) NO!" He yelled.
"I suppose that a double murder would be pretty nice. Especially on a day like this." The man said smiling.
"I'll need agents down on 102nd we have a man with a gun trying to shoot at us." Tony spoke into his earpiece. The criminal just shot you and ran away. "Hey, hey, hey (Y/N) come on. Please stay with me." He begged. "Damn it I should have bought my suit."
"W-what do you m-mean?" You stuttered.
"Alright. I will admit it. I am Iron Man." He confessed.
"I knew it!" You said leaning forwards in his arms.
"Sssh... relax. It's okay." He hushed.
"We finally know what she sang." Were your last words.
