Nikki's P.O.V

"Well I didn't feel safe so I snuck out of my house and went here." I said all at once. "Wow ok" Pony stood there with a glass of water.

"You didn't think that you have family at home that might be worried of you?! They could have called the cops! They could be at this house right now arresting all three of us! HAVE YOU MIGHT NOT THOUGHT OF THAT?!"

Darry yelled. I sat there in shame. "Common Darry she said she didn't feel safe we could call her mom in the morning. It'll be fine, I promise" Pony said.

I didn't want to look at anyone so I looked at the floor. I have never ever in my life been yelled like that before.Darry saw how I was looking at the ground so he said, "Hey, I'm sorry. I just didn't want anything happening to my family.

Ya know family comes first." "But Darry isn't the gang family too? And she's part of the gang. Isn't she?" Soda backed me up. I didn't want to be here anymore. I got up and walked out the front door.

Pony was right behind me. He grabbed me by the arm and here we are again, in the middle of the street, hugging. It felt good being in his arms again, I didn't want to leave, I hoped this moment lasted forever.

We walked to the sidewalk again and he walked me to my house. We snuck in quickly and quietly cause I didn't want to wake up my mother or Johnny. Well basically we went through my window, but it is still good to be quiet.

Darry also gave permission for Pony to stay the night. We both go to the same school so it'll be fine. When I woke up the next morning I got out of bed and saw Johnny sleeping in the chair next to my bed.

I kissed him on the head and his eyes fluttered open. "Nikki where were you last night? You snuck out didn't you?" He asked. Johnny was definitely concerned that I could have gotten jumped again.

"Yeah so what if I snuck out. Why does it matter anyway." I say "You never thought that you might have a brother at home worrying the heck out of you?" Johnny. God he's starts to act more like Darry everyday!

"Plus you and Pony!" He whisper yells. "Hey, Pony is the best thing that has ever happened to me! And you have NO right to take him away from me." I started to cry. I hate crying, it really really hurts when you are yelling at your brother that you hurt before but don't want to hurt him again.

He looks me in the eye "Watch me" ouch that hurt. "That hurts Johnny" I say between sobs. Pony gets up, walks over to me and puts an arm around me. He hugs me tightly but I don't budge.

I still stare at Johnny with hatred and hurting eyes we both just stare at each other while Pony starts kissing' me. I pull his arm off me and storm out the front door. I could hear both Johnny and Pony talking about me.

I didn't care if I was still in my pajamas I was going over to Dally's place. I was walking to Dally's place but also remembering all the times I've been there and what has happened.

I've gotten so used to it that it has happened multiple times I've gone there. Just as I got there and saw Buck Merrill. "Hey Nick. Long time no see. How've ya been?" He was surprised that I was here.
