Chapter 21

Nikki's P.O.V

I hung out with the gang for the entire day. I only had 2 days left with them. Thanks to Pony we will work out our relationship. Johnny promised me that he would tell me if Pony was in another relationship or not.

I felt like keeping Pony's clothes so I kept them on. I also left my hoodie and pants folded on his bed. On top of that, I put a note that had my address on it so I could write a letter to him. I'm going to miss these guys.

I walk downstairs and see everyone watching tv and drinking. I look around and see Piper motioning for me to follow her. I walk over to her and she asked "Do you want to go shopping? Just you and I?"

I nod and we put on our shoes. She took a little longer so I already hopped into her car. I waited for her. I thought about how much I'm going to miss Pony and the gang. Especially Johnny. We only got to see each other for 7 months. That's not long enough.

Piper's P.O.V

I tied my shoes slowly on purpose. When Nikki left to get in my car I talked to the gang. This wasn't only going to be a goodbye party for her. It's going to be a surprise goodbye party. I told the guys a few things.

"I'm stalling Nikki by taking her shopping. You guys set up decorations and make chocolate cake and stuff like that. Get her presents, anything" I tell them. They all not and got up and started working. 

I walk outside watching Nikki through the window. She looks sad, well we all are. She's only been here seven months. Not even a year. Her and Pony only have been dating for those seven months. Now they have to deal with long distance relationship.

I get in the drivers side and started the car. "You ok?" I look over at her. She nods not saying a word. I drive to the nearest clothing store and walked inside. We look around, trying on clothes, having a fashion show.

With us being teenagers we did some stupid thing that almost got us kicked out. I didn't feel like driving so we walked around town. Walking into some stores and buying things we could afford. Nikki said she had a cousin that was a Soc.

She had her card number. We went to the bank and pulled at least a few hundred dollars. Nikki is a spoiled kid. When we got to the bank her cousin had it under her name. She told Nikki she could grab money anytime for anything.

I needed to ask the gang a question so went to a pay phone and called Darry's number. He answered. I asked him "How long it would take you guys?" He said "About 30 more minutes." Then we hung up.

We walked around town a little more, got some ice cream and did more shopping. Soon I was about down to 5 dollars. Pony said he'd give me 5 dollars to stall her anywhere but the jewelry store. She wanted to go there so we had an issue.

We were a few blocks away from it. I could see Dally's and Darry's car there. I pulled her into a coffee shop and told her I wanted some coffee. She said "Ok. I'll wait outside." "No!" I yelled. She turned to me looking confused.

"Uh, I mean, it's kinda hot outside. It's cooler in here, here I'll get you a cup of coffee." I say. She looks at me weird but soon gave in. I look up at the clock and thought it was time to check in with Darry.

I walk outside and walked to the nearest pay phone. I call Darry and waited for him to answer. He finally picked up. "How's it going?" I ask. "We are almost done, Pony is in his room wrapping up the presents." He responded.

"You can start heading back here if you want." He added. "Alright. We'll be there in 5." I say. "Ok. Bye." "Bye." Then we hang up. I walk back into the coffee shop. I see Nikki grabbing our coffee. I walk up to her and said thank you to the person.

"You ready to go back home?" I ask Nikki. She looks at me and smiles. Then she nods. We walk back to my car and got in. We drove until we got to the house. We pulled into the driveway and got out of the car.

I was really excited to see her reaction. I couldn't wait so I grabbed all her stuff for her and pushed her inside. She laughed and said, "What's the rush? It's not like there is going to be a surprise or something." I smiled bigger.
