Chapter 9

Nikki's P.O.V

"Ah well ya know the usual stuff. Lookin' for Dal ya know?" I responded. I walk up the stairs and see what was going through my mind on the way here. Dally was making out on the bed with a random girl.

"Hey Dal I see your busy but I need you for a sec." I just stand there in the doorway and look at Dally and the chick. Just like old times, I used to stand in the doorway without talking' I just watched.

When he noticed me he would quit his sexual stuff and help me out. And that's exactly what he did right at this moment. I went out of the room and I see Pony, Johnny and Piper.

I didn't feel like seeing them at this point so I went back upstairs. Dally and the chick we're done doing their stuff so I just sat on the bed. Dally said goodbye to the chick and she walks away with Dally looking at her ass.

I look at the ground and Dally looks at me. "So, what is so important that you had to ruin my day Nikki?" "Oh I'm sorry for ruining you "date" with the girl that you "love" I thought our friendship was more important."

I rolled my eyes. "Ok fine what do you want?" Dally sneered. I told him the story and that I had nowhere else to go. "Ok fist of all don't come to me with your problems go to Soda. I'm not your professional therapist ok, so leave now."

Dally sat on the bed, obviously dying of boredom. I get up and walk out the room. When I went out there I felt a sharp pain in the back of my head. Then I slowly started fading into black. Then I head screams.

I didn't know who it was I wanted to open my eyes but I couldn't. Gosh I just wanted to go home, I wish I didn't have to live in a place like this. I wanted to run away with the gang. We could go somewhere else.

Somewhere there are no Socs. Just all greasers. I hate having' a life like this. I wish I could just stay in Pony's arms. Piper and Johnny would have a great life together. Dally could get over his old ways and become nice for once.

Darry could pay all the bills and wouldn't have to have 2 jobs. Steve could have his own place to work on cars. Soda would be able to help Steve. Two-bit could get together with one girl and just stay with her.

Everything could be happy. But when I heard Pony's voice I knew it wouldn't happen for a while. I heard Johnny, he was sobbing and Pony was heartbroken. I knew he was.

Piper's P.O.V

We walked over to Buck Merrill's bar because Nikki would always go there for Dallas when she's in trouble. I walk in the bar with Johnny holding the door for me, he's such a sweetheart. When Johnny and I started dating I knew he wasn't going to be like Tim Shepherd.

Tim was a boy that I used to date but I broke it off because I saw having sex with my friend Angela. Anyway I look over at the staircase and see Nikki looking down at us. I pretended not to see her so she ran back up the stars.

I follow her and look around the corner to see her talking' to Dally. I look over across the hallway that I was in and I see a black figure coming this way. I was guessing that it was a drunk person but they had a baseball bat with them.

I was freaking out so I lived towards the figure and wrestle to get the bat out of its hands. I fought hard but it was tough. "Go find Soda or someone else other than me" I hear Dally say. "Fine whatever" Nikki gets up and walks out the door.
