Who said anything about writing in order? You can skip parts and go back later! Don't focus on writing the novel in chronological order, just focus on writing it. You can always just write a chapter here in there and skip around until you have the finished product.
Then you can piece it together, and add all the details in between to make it flow better. No one else makes the rules of writing your novel, only you can make those rules. So take charge, and don't be shy to write your novel out of order. It will help you get through tough parts to write and keep your juices flowing. Happy writing!
