I don't want to talk about Omicron Ceti III.
The only good that came out of that planet was my punctured lung got fully healed while it turned everyone's brain—including mine, ugh—to happy oatmeal. I guess I have Kirk to thank, which sucks. Why Starfleet didn't get in on Magic Healing Spore Land is beyond me. I know people who would love to have their liver completely back.
Anyway, after what happened on Omicron Ceti III, Nowak and I took some leave. Needed to think and discuss how to make sure nothing like that ever happened again. And guess what we missed.
The Enterprise went back in fucking time again. It was the 1930s—not sure why it was the twentieth century again, but whatever—which wasn't the cheeriest time in human history, but it still would've been amazing to see.
Is it some sort of cruel joke? I think the universe hates me.
