Heads turn as I rush by people in the blue haze of dusk. My sneakers stomp onto the cement and I pump my arms as I run, until finally, my feet stop in front of a waiting Hyunsoo and Yuna. I bend over and grab onto my knees, trying to catch my breath. "I'm sorry," I wheeze out.

"You're adorable when you run," Yuna laughs. "It's like a jogging-but-not-really."

I stand up and glare. "Whatever."

"You don't have to apologize for being late. It's not like we have anything better to do." That was false. Both Yuna and Hyunsoo were busy being successful in their careers but the three of us remain silent.

"I wasn't apologizing for being late," I say as I open the door to the cafe. "I'm apologizing in advance."

"For what?"

I smile at my hidden thoughts, although it feels more like a grimace. "You'll see."

Dad greets us at the cashier and Yuna and Hyunsoo bow. "You guys are finally here. The rest of them are already waiting upstairs."

I nod and walk up to him to give a quick kiss on the cheek. "Thank you. Remember to not let anyone up."

"Of course."

Yuna and Hyunsoo turn to me with the confused expressions I was expecting. "Why exactly did you call us here?" she finally questions.

"You'll see," I repeat as I start walking up the stairs. The two of them follow behind me.

When I reach the top of the steps, I'm met with seven other men, all seated at a large table that had been created by pushing smaller ones together. Drinks are already waiting for us, while the other men have started on theirs beforehand.

"Oppa," Yuna says behind me when she finally takes in the scene.

Namjoon stands up, excited to see her but still surprised. "Baby. What are you doing here?"

Next to me, Hyunsoo is staring in shock. I clap him on the shoulder. "Breathe. You're going to be okay." He shakes his head, mouth agape and speechless. "Let's all take a seat first," I say, leading him over to the rest of the men. "This is my friend Hyunsoo. I thought it would be appropriate to bring him here."

Hyunsoo bows at my introduction and everyone else reciprocates. Yuna, Hyunsoo, and I take the remaining empty chairs and Seokjin squeezes my knee in reassurance.

"Great. Is someone finally going to tell us why we're all gathered like this?" Yoongi asks.

I grin and glance over at Seokjin.

He lets out a laugh. "We thought it was time I introduce you guys to my girlfriend."

It takes a moment. For some, it takes more than a moment. But eventually, the gears click in everyone's brains and the silence is followed with absolute chaos. A violent volcano erupts.

Five of the seven members have stood up in their chairs, shouting in revelation. Hands are brought up to heads while others walk around, grinning on an exhilarated high. Taehyung is laughing at the reactions of his members, no doubt already having had his own predictions previously. Yuna stares at me with wide eyes, unsure of how to feel. And finally, when I turn to Hyunsoo, he stares at me with an affectionate smile.

"I'm sorry," I say again. "I know I promised we could stay single together."

Hyunsoo grins. "Actually, Hana, I-"

His words are cut off from a crash. My head snaps around to spot a Jimin, collapsed on the floor and clutching his side. He's busy laughing while a chair has fallen onto the floor, pitifully lying there, helpless.
