A few hours later, Lorna could feel nothing but relief as the party came to a close. Only for that not to be the case, not only was she not aloud to leave the party but now she was forced to stay for what Stark described as an after party. So she stayed but not before grabbing a Coca-Cola.
Currently the group was lounging around on the couch that was for some reason on the same floor that seemed to be the party deck. Clint twirled two drum sticks as he mocked Thor about the enchantment on his hammer which Lorna was half paying attention to. She did however watch with a smile on her face as most of the remaining guest tried to pick up Thor's hammer. It was quiet funny how Clint immediately gave up, Tony try different tactics, Bruce trying to hulk out, and Thor's facial expression of Steve slightly moving the hammer.
In the end Tony stood up with a bottle of beer in his hand. "All deference to the Man Who Won't Be King, but it's rigged."
"You bet your ass," Clint said to Tony as he passed him.
Maria pointed to Clint, "Steve, he said a bad language word."
Lorna titled her head in confusion as Steve sighed, almost like he was trying to ignore something embarrassing. "Did you tell everyone about that?"
"About what?" Lorna asked as she leaned forward, ready to hear a story.
"The handle's imprinted, right?" Stark asked, ignoring Steve's question. "Like a security code. 'Whosever is carrying Thor's fingerprints,' is, I think, the literal translation."
Thor stood up and walked over to his hammer. "Yes. It's a very, very interesting theory. I have a simpler one-" he grabbed his hammer and threw it in the air - "You're all not worthy." Sounds of disagreement went across the group.
"I think my DNA alone wouldn't make me worthy," Lorna grumbled under her breath, almost like she was told that over and over again. As soon as the words left her mouth a screeching sound bounced into the room, making everyone wince.
"Worthy?" A metallic voice asked from the elevator doors, causing everyone to turn that way. "How could you be worthy?" Lorna tensed at the words and watched as a damaged bot came into the light. "You're all killers."
Lorna called to her powers as four more robots flew into the room but before she could destroy one of them, she was brought down by a said robot. One of the robot's arms wrapped around her throat, nearly choking her.
"Did you really think they were going to help you?" Ultron's voice asked. "They are planning to send you to Xavier. He'll never let you leave the school grounds and you definitely won't ever see your family again!"
Lorna felt her eyes water and she choked back a sob. She didn't trust the robot enough to believe him but she also didn't trust the Avengers. The sound of fighting died down around her as the robot tighten his grip on her neck. In a last minute attempt to save herself, Lorna used her powers to tear the said robot apart. Tears fell from her eyes as Lorna coughed, trying her hardest to get a grip on the world around her but failed. The world began to blurred before going dark.
