Chapter 1

It was a calm morning at Camp Javin. It was the transitional phase of summer to fall and the weather was warm with a cool breeze. All the campers had finished breakfast and had started getting ready for a weekly field trip to the cities to pick up supplies for camp. There were only two counselors, the owners. They were kind and of course creative and made sure everyone was happy and needs were fulfilled.

All the campers got along which made for pretty awesome bus rides and it was like time flew by when they were all hanging out.

They didn't have any interaction with family due to the loss of their phones (located in the camp counselors locked desk). But... despite that, none of the campers were having a necessarily bad time... at least for teens and young adults.

"Campers!" A voice yelled out. "Today we will be visiting the art museum! I hope you all have walking shoes on!" All the campers nodded.

There was chatter as everyone got on the bus. Everything was normal.

"Okay but can we talk about Jimmy and Gavin? They are my sons!" A redhead exclaimed as she hopped in her seat.

"Yeah but- what about Johnny and Johnny-" Alister asked, behind her.

"They are both valid ships.... But Javin is the ultimate ship!" She responded, "Right, Spot!?"

The two girls in the seat next to them looked at the pair. Spot, an ash blonde girl, looked over at her friend, "Yeah! Of course!" She giggled.

"I suppose Miss Ezmeralda is going to agree?" He asked. The three turned to the curly haired brunette leaning against the bus glass, distracted by the outside world. They stared at her and tried getting her attention.

"Ezmerelda- Hello?"

"Earth to Ezzy?"

"Hey! Emerald!"

Spot finally shook her shoulder and Ezmeralda whipped around. "W-What!? Sorry-" The group laughed.

"Ezmeralda Coradonia-Alvarez-"

"Oh I hate that you know my full name- I told you just call me Ezzy or something-"

"Which ship is better? Javin or ToastedGhost?" Spot asked and the other two listened. Ezmeralda smiled and giggled.

"Javin- but I love ToastedGhost too!"

Virtual and Spot laughed triumphantly.

Two girls started laughing loudly in the back as they messed around. "Becca! Kira! Please sit down!" The counselor exclaimed. He was nice but stern. His husband who was driving giggled.

"We will be there in about 25 minutes"

"John! Gregory! Can we get ice cream on our way back?" Alistar asked as they stood up. Thomas, who was next to them just tensed.

"You should sit down-" Thomas muttered. The campers were wild... well most. Ally and Thomas were among the most quiet and chilled.

"You know what! Why not!?" The campers cheered.

It was cut off by a thud and Gregory's screams from the driver's seat. "I just hit an animal!" He yelled as he slammed on the brakes and clutched the steering wheel. Everyone was quiet as they all tried to look to see what was hit.

Johnny calmed his husband before walking to the back window. The 'animal' laid in the middle of the road... but it looked a little weird. It kinda looked like a scrawny deer? Maybe-? Johnny took out his phone and called the game warden, telling him they hit something but it looked a little weird. The warden said they would move it and to continue on the trip. So they did.... Everyone was on edge.
