31. breakups as songs (first years)

BEFORE I START:

sorry i've been pretty M.I.A on you guys

work, volleyball, soccer and the stress of school starting has taken a lot out of my time and i'm too lazy to do anything else. i'm so so sorry.

i would also love to reply to each and every comment like i usually do, but since i've been so busy, it's been hard. (but i read every comment you guys leave, i just have no energy to reply. i'm sorry) i love your comments, they make my day lol.

again, i'm very sorry. i will do a formal apology and update you guys soon in an authors note!

Kageyama:
SONG: Ghost
ARTIST: Roderick Porter (ft. Ivri)
EXPLANATION: Kageyama was obviously very occupied with volleyball, even though you knew that, you still tried for a relationship with him. After months of dating, when it really felt like he grew farther away because volleyball was beginning to take up more of his time each week, you gave up trying. You felt like you weren't good enough for him because you couldn't see each other except in class, you knew volleyball was more important to him, leaving you heartbroken.

Hinata:
SONG: white roses
ARTIST: Greyson Chance
EXPLANATION: After a rocky high school relationship with Hinata, he had broken up with you not long after graduating. You two were going your own separate ways and you were willing to do long distance, but he wanted to focus on going even farther with volleyball. Like the song mentions, you never saw it coming because you vowed to be his biggest fan, but to him... that might've not been enough.

Tsukishima:
SONG: the broken hearts club
ARTIST: gnash
EXPLANATION: Tsukishima was never good at showing affection and love towards you throughout your relationship. Because of this, you felt the whole relationship was a joke to him, as though he was lying to you the whole time. This sparked many arguments and Tsukishima broke up with you, leaving your heart shattered. All you wanted was to have him show some sort of affection, but he was too awkward. But you still love him, even though the relationship was rough, he was your first love.

Yamaguchi:
SONG: Not Enough
ARTIST: SadBoyProlific
EXPLANATION: Yamaguchi and you are two very insecure people, but you somehow managed to bring out the confidence in one another. Sometimes the relationship was rough because you're both awkward as well, you also always felt like you weren't enough which caused most of your awkwardness. Since you were so much more insecure than Yamaguchi, he didn't know how to handle it, which made you mad one day, for some weird reason. He had no clue what to do and broke up with you, it was your first fight and he panicked. He's too shy to ask you out one more time.

Yachi:
SONG: Jaded
ARTIST: sadeyes
EXPLANATION: Yachi and you had dated throughout summer, in reality it was only a 'summer fling' but you wanted more. Sadly, that didn't happen. She had met a boy from the school's volleyball club, they connected so well and shortly started dating. You had to watch her with her new boyfriend, she didn't know she had broken your heart and left you feeling stupid for even trying anything.

Kindaichi:
SONG: Scars on My Heart
ARTIST: Powfu (ft. SadBoyProlific)
EXPLANATION: Kindaichi had dated you for a short three months, it was a mistake that he had found out about your crush on him. But somehow he wanted to try and get to know you, even though you two haven't talked before. Not long after you started dating, it felt like you were moving too quick though. Two months in, rumours started that Kindaichi was dating you off a bet. Because of this you broke up with him, without asking if it was true. In reality, he was amazed someone as beautiful as you had somehow caught feelings for him.

Kunimi:
SONG: All I Want
ARTIST: Kodaline
EXPLANATION: You two were madly in love. Dating since first years till first years again in college. You two had an hour distance between each other, but you didn't mind, only Kunimi did. After five months of going without seeing each other, Kunimi broke up with you. He had found slight interest in a new girl, but he never told you that. He just said the distance was too much for him. He had left you so heartbroken and confused, you couldn't bear to go back home and have him mentioned.

Lev:
SONG: This is Home
ARTIST: Cavetown
EXPLANATION: For you, love was never something you fantasized or wished for. Love was scary for you. But something about Lev drew you towards him, so you thought that you had truly fallen in love. Months into the relationship you found yourself second guessing your love, so you broke up with him. Not long after, you realized you actually did love him, you just have a very hard time accepting love because you weren't fond of the idea of being in love. Lev refuses to talk to you, so you're left with major regret.

Goshiki:
SONG: Falling
ARTIST: Harry Styles
EXPLANATION: Goshiki was your first love and you were his. You two dated in your first year. But after his teams major loss, things started falling downhill. He started pushing you further away to focus on volleyball, and so he wouldn't get his heartbroken by you. You didn't understand why he broke up with you, but he did. So you were left with many questions consistently running through your brain.

Koganegawa:
SONG: Please Come Back
ARTIST: Teqkoi & Ondi Vil (ft. Thomas Reid & Bonjr)
EXPLANATION: You two were each other's first loves. You broke up before your second year in school, you were so in love with him, you felt insane. You didn't feel your feelings were reciprocated, so you had broken up with him. Leaving him heartbroken and confused. Koganegawa never gave up trying to get back together with you, until one fight when you admit you don't trust yourself with him. You were too scared to fall even more in love with him, and scared he wouldn't fall more in love either, even though he would.

Shibiyama:
SONG: I'll Be Good
ARTIST: Jaymes Young
EXPLANATION: You felt as though you weren't doing any good for Shibiyama, you felt like you weren't enough. So you broke up with him, because of this, you only felt regret and want to be back with him. Shibiyama refused your apologies each time, the song describes how your apology sounded for the last time. He still refused even though he loves you, he just didn't want to get his heart broken a second time, possibly.

Wataru:
SONG: difference (interlude)
ARTIST: XXXTENTACION
EXPLANATION: You two were so in love, until you separated after high school. You wanted to do the distance, but Wataru was scared. Scared you two would find somebody else while still dating, so he broke up with you. The breakup was messy but you still have hope he'll come back to you.
