Sickness

XinCi was checking some papers when YaRu comes and sit beside him

"You have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow" XinCi looked at her and she simply answers "Yes"

"Keep this file at a safe place"

YaRu takes the file and went to keep it in the closet under the clothes "Why have you kept it here? If Shen Wei or Zhan Yao find it what explanation will I give to them?" XinCi was worried

Yao comes there and stops hearing some words coming from his parent's room "How long are you going to continue hiding it? You will have to tell them sooner or later" Said XinCi "Have you seen their smiles? It is the only cure I have for this illness. If I take their smiles away as well, I might die much sooner" YaRu said and leans against her husband's shoulder and Zhan Yao gets shocked hearing their talks

"Don't say this, please. Your reports are improving" XinCi holds her hand

"Yes but my liver is continuously shrinking," YaRu said with a sad tone and outside the room, Yao covers his mouth with both hands and unable to digest the truth he discovers his eyes start flooding and he stumbles

XinCi start crying as well holding YaRu's hand "What are you doing? If you continue doing like this then I'll feel sorry that why did I even tell you about it" YaRu said and hugs him as now she is also crying

"You're so brave. Only God knows, how I've controlled myself for the last six months" XinCi hugs her back "Just have faith in God. God will make things easier" Said YaRu again and smiles faintly "I very thank full to God that HE sends someone for my Shen Wei, who takes good care of him and handles him in difficult times and never let go of his hand in any situation, I have faith in Yunlan also the time I see him, my heart is saying he is the best choice for my Wei" YaRu said again while breaking the hug

"I just pray to God that HE gives me enough time in this world to fulfil my responsibilities with Yao as well. I just want someone come for my Zhan Yao as well, the one who also takes care of my naughty devil and loves him truly" she said and XinCi just nods with a smile

Shen Wei stands and decided to talk with his parents about Yutong but Zhan Yao comes running and crying which shocked Shen Wei and he quickly holds him "Yao?" Wei hugs him and makes him sit "What happened? Why are you crying? He asked him again being much worried

But Yao didn't say anything instead he again hugs Wei with his crying and sobbing "Oh what happened?" Wei caresses his hairs. Zhan Yao tries to tell him and points his finger towards the door looking at Wei but cannot able to gather the words. Wei makes him drink water and ask him again

"Okay tell me now what happened?"

"What could be more selfless Wei? A person who has been enduring so much pain for so long and still making so much effort day and night, not for herself, but for us. She didn't show us what she is going through and continue smiling. Nothing can be more selfless then this Wei" Yao told everything to Wei who lost all his words and hope in his life.

"I can not lose her" Yao start crying again "Nothing is going to happen" Wei comforts him

"She is not the only one who has the right to express love. If she can do so much for us then can't we do anything for her? Even I will cross any limit for her" Yao was crying and his big tears were constantly falling in his lap. Wei wipes his own tears first and then wipes his tears with both hands "She even didn't tell us, that's not fair" Yao was constantly crying and Wei was wiping his tears then hugs him in his arms

Yutong tries to call him but Wei didn't answer which makes Yutong worried. He tries several times and finally, Wei picks up the phone while caresses Yao's hairs who falls asleep while crying in his lap. He slowly answers him to not wake up the crying mess again

He just told Yutong that his mom is sick and he talks to him later and cuts the call which makes Yutong more worried and Wei start crying covering his mouth and looking at the figure in his lap. He controls himself earlier to comfort Yao but now his pain crosses the limits.

The next morning the atmosphere in the house was not good and XinCi notices the sadness on their faces "Is everything okay dear? You didn't even greet me?" YaRu said looking at Yao and Wei's faces "Mom you have done very wrong with us" Wei complains while checking his bag

"What did I do dear?" she asked with worry "Enough mom, you've betrayed us. You've distanced yourself from us when you needed us the most" Yao said with an angry tone and not looking at her

"No my dear, I didn't do anything of that sort," She said coming closer to Yao and he again starts crying looking down "If you can't tell the truth then please keep quiet, at least let us vent out our anger" Yao again said in the same tone as before and XinCi looks at him with a worried expression

"Mom we know about your sickness," Wei said and their mom gets shocked and she looked at XinCi and they start arguing angrily with their parents "Mom and dad didn't give us any right on their worries" Yao was angry and he wipes his tears again.

"Okay, it was our mistake. Forgive me" XinCi said and spread his arms towards Wei and Yao but they didn't go to him

"You can fight with me. You can complain or show anger but don't give pain to yourself. You both know that we have one weakness. We can't see tears in your eyes" XinCi and YaRu feels like culprits in front of their crying children and they make a promise that onwards they won't hide anything from them

Wei hugs his dad but Yao was still angry "Shall I write it on a stamp paper for you that I won't hide anything?" XinCi said but Yao didn't respond and went upstairs crying. His mom gets worried but Wei comforts her "He'll be fine. You sit" He makes her sit and hugs XinCi again. YaRu cries holding Wei's hand.
