Betty is staring at the ground with a pout and a frown on her face as she kicks every rock on her way. Her feet are starting to get tired from the long walk, and she can tell it's going to get dark soon.

She's looking for a place to stay for the night. The shelter she stayed in the night before told her it was too full today, and so she has to move and look for a place to sleep at.

Unfortunately, and rudely, America is totally anti-homelessness. Which means every bench and every place that could be used as a hard bed has been decorated with weird-looking things that never let her or anyone else lay down and sleep.

There's not enough room.

She notices a few cars waiting to drive into some kind of gated community and stops. There's no way she could get in. She's tried with quite a few, knowing they didn't have those things installed on their benches.

Plus there's a guard.

The eighteen year old sighs and walks to the gate and then turns left, noticing a nice patch of green grass against the brick fence. With the hope that nobody will find her there, she starts walking towards it until she hears a man's voice.

"Hey you!"

At first she doesn't think it's to her, but she still turns around to look that maybe the guard was off the position now and she could somehow run inside. The man is facing her though.

Whining at her fail, Betty walks up to him with even a huger pout, stomping on every step, angry at herself.

"Hello there," the old man says when he looks at her with a frown. Betty takes a small step back and looks at the ground, nervous and scared of him even though he looks kind.

"Hello," she whispers.

"What are you doing out here all alone?"

With a frown, Betty looks up at him.

The man simply shakes his head. "Come on, I'll let you inside. It's starting to get dark out here."

"Oh," Betty whispers and follows the guard to the gate where he lets her just walk by. "Thank you."

"Of course. Now come on, hurry up. Go home, little one."

With another frown, Betty nods and thanks him once more before walking into the gated community. She still is grumpy as she walks her way down the streets, but stops when she sees something weird.

There's a full adult-sized baby. Not only that, but she's laying in a huge stroller, in a onesie, being pushed around by two adults who look even shorter than her.

Betty reluctantly keeps walking, and when she reaches the small square with a fountain, hurries over to it. She ignores the looks while she leans there to wash her hands and face, and then stomps away, looking around herself.

There are quite a few her sized toddlers and kids. They talk like that, they have toys, and everyone seems to be so rich.

She even sees someone getting a diaper check and the boy doesn't mind and keeps holding the man's hand.

Betty frowns, starting to get overwhelmed by the noise the kids are making, and hurries toward the brick wall that has trees and grass everywhere around it with some flowers.

She likes it she has to admit as she takes a seat next to the brick fence, leaning against it. "This isn't hard," she murmurs, liking that the ground is a bit softer than she's used to on the dirty streets.

She just sits there and watches people pass in the distance, some of them throwing her concerned and confused looks as if trying to figure out who she is.
