Explained Personal demon: the irrational fear of being looked at or stared at by others
Consequence of Personal demon: Claire is scared of scaring others, because of her peculiarity, which has lead to her being irrationally scared of being stared at for too long. This has lead to her hiding behind someone she trusts. Usually, this person is Enoch, her older brother.
Given object: A face mask with a smile embroidered on it
Explained Given object: Claire thinks her backmouth is scary, so, if particularly insecure, she covers the front one too, for a little extra measure.
Claire has the same peculiarity.
Note: Claire is Enoch's sister (because I thought the film relationship between Enoch and Claire was cute).
