CHAPTER THREE

A few weeks passed before the booklists for the new year arrived, meaning they could no longer put off a trip to Diagon Alley. Arthur was able to get them a Ministry car that would take them to the Leaky Cauldron.

Upon arrival, they could see that the atmosphere in Diagon Alley had changed significantly from the last time they had been there. There was hardly anyone walking in the streets anymore, pictures of Death Eaters were everywhere, and some shops, like Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor and Ollivander's Wand Shop, were boarded up and empty.

The group split up, Arthur, Molly, and Ginny going to Flourish and Blotts to purchase everyone's needed schoolbooks, and Ron, Hermione, Harry, and Arabella to Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions. Ron and Harry had to purchase new school robes because they had both grown significantly over the summer, and Hermione and Arabella wanted new dress robes.

Once both groups had purchased everything they needed and met back up, they went to Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. Fred and George's shop stood out compared to the others, with it's bright colors and wild displays. They had one sign that said 'WHY ARE YOU WORRYING ABOUT YOU-KNOW-WHO? YOU SHOULD BE WORRYING ABOUT U-NO-POO - THE CONSTIPATION SENSATION THAT'S GRIPPING THE NATION!' Ron, Arabella, and Harry looked at each other and began to laugh.

"They'll be murdered in their beds!" Molly said.

"No they won't!" Ron said. "This is brilliant!"

Entering the shop, they quickly saw that the inside was just as bright and crazy as the outside, possibly even more so. As everyone else split off every which way to look at the different displays, Hermione and Arabella heard a familiar voice and looked up.

"I will have order!" said a toy Umbridge riding a unicycle. "I really hate children. I will have order!"

Arabella looked at Hermione. "Is that really what she said?" she asked.

"Yeah," Hermione said. "They got it perfectly."

The two continued to watch the small, harmless version of their former teacher before Arabella grabbed Hermione's wrist. "Come on, let's go find Fred and George. See what they can do about your eye."

It didn't take long for them to find the twins and after explaining to them what had happened, they gave Hermione some bruise remover that cleared it up completely.

After that, Arabella turned away and a pink display caught her eye. "Ooh, big pink thing! Mione, come on!" She once again grabbed Hermione's wrist and pulled her along. At the display, they found Ginny and Evelyn already there. "Oh, hello, Evelyn."

"Hi, Bella," Evelyn responded, reading the label on the bottle she was holding.

"I see you've found the WonderWitch line," Olivia said, joining the girls.

"Oh, hey, Liv. I didn't know you'd be here today."

"I'm always here."

"Hello, ladies," said Fred and George, also joining them.

"Love potions, eh?" said Fred.

"Yeah, they really do work," said George.

"Oh, yeah, trust me on that one, they do," Olivia said.
